Coach Smith is the De facto Special Teams coach & one of Mario’s long time assistants from back in his FIU days.

His Tweets serve 2 purposes:
1. Recruiting
2. Morale

Twitter engagements are a real social media metric by which Coaches can use it as apart of the overall recruiting apparatus. If he’s Tweeting stuff out, it’s not just for sh*ts & giggles, it’s actually apart of what Mario wants him to do.

He’s also a quirky/crazy mf’er & having that role fits him, hence why he was assigned to do it lol

At one point 4/5 seemed 70% likely…two is still a great week when considering the overall class, three would be fantastic and if it’s Aguero, Malik and Bonsu, that’s outstanding. Freeling wants to be a Cane, if we miss on Alinen…not a bad trade-off at all. I really like his game and potential.

One isn’t a failure - maybe for the expectations we developed the past two weeks, sure (that’s a whole other topic) but only 0/5 would be cause for confusion.

However, despite not being a failure (in my eyes), only one of the five would certainly halt the momentum.

Considering less than 10% of commits actually flip… I’d say July means a lot. It’s a numbers game and the more you stack early the more you have late.

Could see us landing 3 because I know we’re not going to go down without a fight. Mario and company will be balls to the wall until the 23rd, so maybe that effort pays off and we get Olaus or Aguero.

Want Alinen badly, but if we can get Bonsu, Aguero, and Bryant, I'm happy, especially if Samson comes on board. We have more options on OL than linebacker and safety right now.

We still have Kinsler. Samson is obviously the #1 choice. I think we get a combo just don’t know which.

Samson & Alinen would be amazing and probably the best case scenario. But Samson and Kinsler would also be amazing.
