How many do we land this week?

That’s why just class rank is completely Misleading
That 18 class was like Florida current class a lot of borderline 4 stars and all the to talent was in the skill positions and most of them bust
The trentch players were straight jag all of them
Thats why it doesn’t matter about class rank just got to recruit at an elite level in the trentches and qb which he has
I’d say it’s not misleading, but rather there a tons of recruits still uncommitted and this is just a case of we have a lot on the board. We’ll end up top 5 imo.

Mark Richt landed the #8 class in 2018, and Manny Diaz landed the #11 ranked class in 2021.

Mario’s first class was #16, and this current class is at #10. And that’s with a billionaire writing NIL checks and twice the budget for staff, new facilities, etc.

Not really getting the Mario hype right now. He needs to accomplish something.
Your comparisons are not really apples to apples timing wise, and not sure what class rating platform you’re using…. I’m using the 247 composites below

Richt - Hired Dec of 2015 - His 2016 class was #22, his 2017 class was #12

Manny Hired Dec of 2018 - His 2019 class was #27, his 2020, was #17

CMC - Hired Dec of 2021 - His 2022 class #16, and this class is so far a #10, but projecting to be a top 5 class.

The first cycle I tend to give the coaches a break. The second is really where you’ll find out what kind of recruiter you really have. We’ll see what his third round of recruiting looks like for the ‘24 kids since you’ve pulled third year rankings for Manny and Richt, but based on how things are currently trending I’d dare to say that Mario will beat them out.

Also, the entirety of current year recruiting hasn’t played out yet, and we haven’t seen the on field product. But if the investments bare fruit, we’ll really start seeing dividends as early as year 2. Not sure how long you’re willing to wait, but you come across as one with little patience…. Which is fair considering the last two decades

There’s obviously more to the positivity around recruiting & team then just the numbers, but just wanted to get the comparisons straight.

Manny also left Miami with a virtually empty 2021 class. The fact that Mario got us to 16th in a few weeks is remarkable.

If we land 0 that’s an utter failure, ain’t no way around it. Two safeties at a position of need, two top 300 o-linemen, and one of the best linebackers in the country (again at a fire position of need).

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been one ounce of good news this week. Seems like we blew our load on Twitter and CIS last Thursday, way too ****y.

I’m sorry this week hasn’t aligned with your expectations. I’ll let the staff know

In a matter of a week, we went from thinking we were getting most of these kids to potentially ending up with zero. That's a big 180. It's okay to be a little surprised.

It's also okay to realize Mario and co will still be bringing in what'll probably be our best class in like 15 years. We're fine people. Relax.

Recruiting is nothing but ebbs and flows, peaks and valleys. Regardless of the program you support. Literally one week ago, Bama fans were wondering wtf is going on. Then they got a UGA legacy RB in Haynes and a really solid OT prospect in Olaus. And seem to be trending with Caleb Downs in addition to plenty of top 100 players.

We went through the same with that nice run we had in the beginning of July. We're going to take a few hits here but will probably go on another run at some point. Mario will get his. Maybe not a top 3 or top 5 class but still feels like this will around 7 or 8 overall.

I will say though...few things in recruiting are ever 100%. But if there's one thing that's been proven to be utterly nonsense it's the whole silent commit thing. We (and every other program) seem to fall for it every time. "Just wait......we got big things coming.....5+ SILENTS WAITING TO POP ON COACH'S NOTICE!"

We never learn. But we love this **** and come back for it every time!
