Chick has a small frame for a DE, let alone DT. I'm not sure why people think moving him inside is the answer... just because he's not fast? That doesn't mean he needs to be a defensive tackle. I guess we could try him in that "move the DE to DT on passing downs" role that never seems to work, but I don't see the point in that. Better option, I think, is to let him get comfortable with the added pounds, continue developing, and get another DE with a pulse who can spell him. His game is all about giving 110% effort and capitalizing on lapses from the other side. Not even a cyborg could have maintained that wildman style with the # of snaps he took. We had NO ONE to give him a breather - especially in games against average or above average opponents. You take that away from him and you take away the thing that makes him more than just a JAG. Feel bad that our fan base doesn't recognize that and is ready to slam the guy so quickly... the kid is all heart and giving all he's got, he's in a bad position.

90 Ricardo Williams - needs to go play D3 football, should transfer, Not UM material!!!

Why the hate on Ricky? I know he needed a RS year to put on some serious weight, but are we already relegating him to bust status?

i dont know...only game i remember him getting in was tehe uva game on their game winning drive i saw him in at de on a few plays.....

he seemed like a kid from the jump that wouldnt show till his jr year anyway just off of his size coming in...( he was about 210).....i think his time will be thru utough and spring...if he doesnt show up...he could become expendable foreal
 
Same fans that think we wont improve will be the same ones driving the "We can win the MNC" bandwagon if we start 5-0. There is no perspective.

Does anyone remember how badly Ed Reed actually struggled- beginning with that big missed tackle vs Ohio State in the 1999 season opener in Jersey- during his sophomore year? Watching that, you never would've thought that one day he'll be getting a mustard sports coat in Canton

I think we all know here that some players on this team were and are just roster fillers... he doesn't belong here and we all know this...
