Jon Gruden is good at two things, mugging for the camera by making weird-*** faces, and coaching teams for ONE YEAR with a well developed roster.

Oh, and he’s also good at destroying well developed teams.

Building winning teams through the draft and acquisitions: that ain’t him. Raiders fans are in for a world of hurt until they fire him in a few years. Mark this post.

You think he's a stud, OK. So you want him, OK. But you don't have to take him at #4. In fact, you can probably move down to the early double digits, safely get him with that lower first round pick, and snag, at least, a second round pick in the original trade down.

Not that complicated when you have the #4 pick. Two QBs that people were interested in were in play at 4, one went at 6, the other was projected at 6. White, Allen, and Oliver were all still available. It is ridiculous to think there was not realistic interest.

Hmm, did the Raiders offer #4 for trade? Or did they, very publicly, shut down the room and send their scouts home as their minds were made up?

And, of course, there is never any trading of the top 5 picks in a draft, right? Oh wait, research and facts... many posters hate those things.

Yeah. I'll one up you. We took Daniel ****** Jones at the 6 PICK when we could've got him in the second round and we took THE ****** PINK POWER RANGER WITH THE PICK WE GOT FOR ODELL. Then gave away 3 picks for DeAndre who's atleast solid.
 
The fact there are guys arguing back and forth about the Raider picks tells you all you need to know about them.

First round picks ESPECIALLY number 4 picks should be no doubters and shouldn’t be questioned by anyone.

Like someone said Gruden is a joke whose better days have been passed up by the new nfl.

When you saw him send one of the best defensive players and one of the top WR away shortly after taking over told me the guy was a joke and should have stuck to critiquing college QBs..jmo

Makes sense. But have you seen how our picks line up for next year's draft? Provided the front office doesn't do anything stupid we got two picks in each of the first four or five rds.

How can that be the case? They got the best RB prospect, the best d lineman from the best d line in the country last year, and arguably the best safety in the whole draft. I would say that’s far from a terrible draft.

That's your opinion, it's far from the consensus in front offices. And from a value based standpoint it was really bad.
