It was a terrible draft for Mayock and Gruden. They're a punchline in NFL front offices today.
Gruden thinks he's smarter than everyone and thought hiring mayock was a great move.

Cant stand him...Jon Gruden is good at two things, mugging for the camera by making weird-*** faces, and coaching teams for ONE YEAR with a well developed roster.
Oh, and he’s also good at destroying well developed teams.
Building winning teams through the draft and acquisitions: that ain’t him. Raiders fans are in for a world of hurt until they fire him in a few years. Mark this post.
Raiders will likely go Lock with their 2nd round pick, Gruden loves him. Rumors they are shopping Carr too. Really hope the Dolphins don't get Blowsen.
Lol I listed their most recent 6. You listed 3 players and think that's "all"? Essentially people make outlandish claims, then when called out, they realize and begin to pulls straws and nit pick to make their claim not sound so crazy. A pro bowler in his second season is considered an NFL bust, ok. Gaines Adams was a bust but the man never had a chance to make it right. Only played like 2 or 3 seasons. Just trying to be subjective and not make crazy claims about people. It's not even like the majority of the studs on Clemson's recent run have even gone pro yet
The Ferrell pick shows the Raiders brain trust doesn't understand the draft. It isn't about love; it is about resource maximization.
You think he's a stud, OK. So you want him, OK. But you don't have to take him at #4. In fact, you can probably move down to the early double digits, safely get him with that lower first round pick, and snag, at least, a second round pick in the original trade down.
to mov down someone has to want to move up..its easy to just say move down
Not that complicated when you have the #4 pick. Two QBs that people were interested in were in play at 4, one went at 6, the other was projected at 6. White, Allen, and Oliver were all still available. It is ridiculous to think there was not realistic interest.
when was the first trade up in the draft?
Yeah. I'll one up you. We took Daniel ****** Jones at the 6 PICK when we could've got him in the second round and we took THE ****** PINK POWER RANGER WITH THE PICK WE GOT FOR ODELL. Then gave away 3 picks for DeAndre who's atleast solid.GRUDEN SUCKS
No matter who your team is...take have joy knowing that it could really be worse
Imagine coming home, opening the door and seeing a smiling Chimpanzee wrecking your house ...and even worse...you can't stop that smiling ******
that's how most of Raider Nation feels today.
Well life goes on...SO, how bout those Birds!! OR any other team... other than the Raiders
Good Football Player! LOLGruden thinks he's smarter than everyone and thought hiring mayock was a great move.
Imho he is the best of the three
I saw, disgraceful
Makes sense. But have you seen how our picks line up for next year's draft? Provided the front office doesn't do anything stupid we got two picks in each of the first four or five rds.Thought the Fins should have done what the Cardinals did. Draft a QB and then Draft another. Like the coach hire, not sold on Grier as the sole decision maker.
How can that be the case? They got the best RB prospect, the best d lineman from the best d line in the country last year, and arguably the best safety in the whole draft. I would say that’s far from a terrible draft. It was a terrible draft for Mayock and Gruden. They're a punchline in NFL front offices today.
