How good is ND projected to be when we play them?

How about we generate clicks today, then also after Spring Practice when we hear everyone is way better than before, the new staff is the **** and all new comers are super impressive to the staff, then even more clicks and conversation while we await the fall camp
Would you prefer we hijack a yacht party, have a Michelob light shower and jump on a slip & slide? Maybe have a dance off with poo?

You also forget that comes from individuals you guys put merit in what they say. Seems hypocritical to pick and choose when the messages they relay should have more truth in it than others. Also you act like those people reporting that are just lying to you. Rather than realizing a good chunk of these people have never played a high level of football. Most of them don't know what it's supposed to look like in practice. Put importance on flag football(like most of y'all do with 7 on 7 **** anyhow) & working out on air in shorts. That's y'all that set yourself up for failure if you don't see through some of the bull****. & You complain about generating clicks. Brother nothing is making you stay here. You choose to come back. Just like we all do. Good and bad we know what to expect. So strap up I guess.

I kinda feel sorry for him. Imagine going through life like that
Imagine CIS posters thinking someone is unhappy all day simply because they do the same thing to Mario, Rad and JD that the board has done to other coaches since it's inception... Ya'll are very serious people. Seriously serious.

Michelob Light is under appreciated -- Cannot get that everywhere. Midwest I think.

People can party how they want to, but I think the message board is open for discussion about the current outlook, which will likely change in spring, etc.

Click generation is what drives message boards. Which was my point -- people can discuss now and later. People have been here for quite some time, and enjoy it - many of them have seen the changes from information to company line as the site has moved in different directions. It is business -- which comes with the good and the bad. I don't get the script from the Hecht or a paycheck related to it, nor is Mario my friend -- win and we celebrate, continue to lose when it matters - and well, expect the same angst other staffs have received.

Sure. But there is things to celebrate here and now also. Talk all the **** y'all want. But y'all pretty much signed on for this Mario physical offense will never allow us to win anything. Well now he's shown y'all are wrong & he can adapt. We had the #1 offense in the country. No one is saying that's enough. But SOMEONE has to say well **** that's a pretty good sign at least that maybe y'all are wrong about the **** y'all cosign. The defense cost us a very VERY promising season this year. Now it's Mario's hiring again. Well just last season EVERYONE (national media all the way up to yall) celebrated the hiring of Guidry. At the end of season some of us warned about potential issues this year and where. We attempted to add where we needed and clearly it didn't work out. That's part of free choice. Can't force ****. It ****es me off more than easily 95% of y'all if not far more. But I gotta be honest with seeing progress and realizing it takes time. Everyone would be far happier.

Notre Dame has 3 factors working in their favor:

1. One of the best DB Coaches in CFB in Mike Mickens

2. The best OL Coach in CFB in Joe Rudolph

3. Marcus Freeman is a very good Defensive mind

ND also has 3 factors working against them:

1. Losing 2 Elite DB's in Xavier Watts & Benjamin Morrison, (although they were just fine without him for the remainder of the season once he got hurt)

2. Likely starting an inexperienced QB

3. Mike Denbrock due to having a QB making his first start will call the game conservative

The game will come down to simple factors for Miami

- Stop the run on Defense
- Run the ball on Offense
- Don't turn the ball over

We do those 3 things & we win.

However, ND will absolutely be the very best Defense we face all season, so whatever the gameplan is, it better be a good one.

Their OL and their two Lbs worry me most. In a game they start a first time starter, as you point out, they will be conservative. I’m hoping the rock is absolutely on fire for that one. Shake that kid up a little. And It should be.

I think if people are being fair and honest, it’s clear to me that Mario tries very hard to succeed, cares about his alma mater and he’s been willing to change things that I think were out of his comfort zone to improve.

The defense only had to be mediocre for us to get into the playoffs. I don’t know how it was so bad but it wasn’t just coaching, there were some bad talent evals as well. The condition of the QB room has also been bad, however, for the last two years we have been saved by him getting the top 1-2 portal QBs. Plus, it looks like we’re getting better talent there now out of high school.

He is what he is. He’s not a good game coach but he does try to improve things and there is incremental success. Regardless, I can’t believe we didn’t get to the ACCCG this year. If not now, when? I don’t know what he could have done to fix the defense during the season aside from firing Guidry sooner and letting Field or JT call the games on that side. I don’t know what he tried to do or not do but watching the same disaster, game after game - all the confusion on the field - was maddening
