Really interested to see how USC, UCLA, CAL, Stanford do this recruiting cycle because this class will be there in 2023 when kids will be able to be paid.

There will be NO changes. They pay kids, they're doomed. No bowls, downgrade conference affiliation, diminishing TV deals. They will not pay kids. Looney Left Laws in Cali will not Trump NCAA rules.

This is accurate if the status quo stays the same, but if other large states adopt similar legislature the NCAA will be forced to accept a new reality. Given the 2023 timeframe mentioned above, there will be a lot of lobbying dollars spent in the interim.

Haven’t read the bill that passed but pretty sure they’d be tax for the money they receive... rather take the under the table money tax free any day

$500K + a 3 year lease on a C63s AMG to shoot a commercial for Uncle Billy's Mercedes Brenz of Birmingham for any 5* who signs with Bama. Bags just became a business expense.

Certain nuances of college football made it special, if it moves more and more into a situation where the same 5 teams are in the playoff every year, it'll start to look more and more just like minor league football and many won't care anymore.

I think you may be right.

It's going to be boring, predictable, annoyingly corrupt, and completely unrelatable.

For some reason people don’t get this. Even though I still think their assessment is inaccurate even if it was about schools paying athletes.
Yep, the entire time they’ve decided to read/see what they wanted to even though the schools paying the players was NEVER the issue. Who knew that being able to make money off of one’s own name and likeness would be such a problem.

Best way to keep grubby Alabama and Georgia mitts off our South Florida talent is for Florida to pass a similar law.

Those of you who live down there, call your representatives.

NCAA can only retaliate against certain number of states and schools.

We’re already there. Due to the corruption of the NCAA, SEC, Oh st, etc. smaller teams can’t compete anymore. Money and subsequent corruption has already ruined college football.
