Hova to FSU

I dont know if it will have much of an impact but we will see this cycle if that pays dividends for them.

Read between the lines, Telly lockette has been a massive failure, outside of bribing his godson or whatever Lucas to come, and they desperately need a presence in SoFla.

FSU can already recruit the 4* and 5* according to web sites but they can’t coach or evaluate actual talent for the life of them

Big difference, Cooney is a legit coach that a lot of kids respect. He was OC at Gables as well as Southridge & recruited a lot of the local kids to both schools with him. He also used to Coach Florida Fire 7v7 Dade squad which had Pope, Wiggins, Bandy & all those other kids.

The Cooney family is well respected in South Fla & David is talented enough to eventually find himself as a position coach at a D1 school when he's ready. Hova is a just a two timing slickster that was a BBall coach. He's just another salesman that gets hired by schools like UF & FSU to help funnel cash to South fla prospects, he's not a leader that kids respect.

Baez is waaaayyy more effective doing his job than Hova ever was. This won't affect us at all.

Idk if Miami ever truly considered hiring Hova, but if they did I'm sure Richt did his due dilligence & realized we're better off without him. He was hired at UF to be their on campus director of recruiting, that's basically what Baez does for us & even though Baez got a bump up in position he's still the main guy that handles those responsibilities.

Hiring a guy like him is dumpster diving, our program is legit & we don't need scumbags like that having any association with the U.

Its a good move for FSU if your desperate for some sort of sfla presence......they have none right now which is amazing to me because a few years ago they were real players down in sfla. How the mighty hicks have fallen

Thats probably MR best hire, its between him and Hartley. Hartley pretty much saved the offense this year, u think about it....someone brought it up recently when Herndon went down we were done for offensively (something I overlooked completely), with Jordan and Mallory it will open things up so much especially with all the wideouts we have.
