I don't get this comment. We've recruited a lot of Jucos over the years, and with pretty good success. I don't know why sanctions have anything to do with it. Most of these guys want to come in, do their two years, and get ready for the league. We've already given up two bowls? Will the NCAA keep us from a third and a fourth? I doubt it. So, a Juco coming in next year could have at least one, and maybe two, bowls.

i agree that we shouldnt be getting anymore bowl bans and that it shouldnt be an issue. However, these kids have numerous coaches feeding them BS about the potential of sanctions and unfortunately everything is speculation. We have no facts to give them for our future. The only fact we have to offer is that we have already been punished for 2 bowl games. These guys are paid to be persuasive and it is not difficult to fill an ill-informed kid's head with nonsense that could turn them off to us.

Kid probably felt bad about cancelling his visit at the last minute considering the relationship he built with Franklin. So he rescheduled just to show appreciation for the way Miami has been recruiting him and he will still commit to an SEC school when all is said and done.

I get what you are saying..........But how is letting a school give you a free trip to South Florida, put you up in a 5 Star hotel, feed you the finest meals you've ever had, and then turning them down showing appreciation? If he has a great relationship with Coach Franklin, then he can just say, "Hey coach, I appreciate the offer, but I think I'm gonna go in another direction."

I agree. If the kid was so high on us they were going to spend their coin to bring to bring the fam down for the previous visit, there must obviously be more that he likes than Jethro. It's a big decision why not come down and see it for yourself before making that call. It's a prudent decision by the kid and his fam even if he's leaning to UA.

yes, but you are not a 17-19 YO kid. That is a very level headed and mature way of looking at it but very few recruits do that.

That is my point that just this AM there was no chance. These kids can change their mind on a whim. There 18 years olds and to think there is solid info out there either way is a pure crap shoot. You hope and pray.
