Like others have said, I want to these kids compete and that means the staff better have em ready.
 
Loosing is simply not a option this weekend.

Don't take this the wrong way, but how old are you?

For us old-school Canes fans (I've been on board since the mid80s), a loss to Notre Dame, no matter the situation, is unacceptable. I realize we're the underdogs and inexperienced, but I still want these kids to SMASH ND.

I'm 20, so the tangible sting of ND losses are foreign to me (Save for 2010). However, my Canes upbringing was under my father, who hates ND more than just about anything else in football, so I am well aware of the significance.

I'm in the same boat as your dad. Glad to know you're aware of the significance. They're probably number 1 on my most-hated teams list, just barely a notch above the Gators.

I got about 6-7 buddies that are huge Notre Dame fans so I will be ****ed if we lose!

Here is why I'll be ****ed. We know what this team will probably look like if they lose. 1. They will probably look like the temp is below 0 even though it will be in the 40's! 2. Notre Dame's offense, that hasn't done anything all year, will look like the most well-oiled machine in cfb!

Those are the 2 reasons Miami will lose and that is frustrating.

Losing a hard fought game won't have me too ****ed. I will still be upset for the rest of the night, but a hard fought game will still be a positive in some ways possibly.


Getting blown out would be bad, but hopefully it wouldn't be a situation where we gave up or something. I don't forsee that.


Win or lose, I want to see the unit's that have been doing well continue to succeed and the unit's like the DL show at least some improvement. If the OL continues to play at a high level we should be able to hang with them points wise.

Yup the deck is sacked against us. NOBODY wants us to win this game.

They like when we are competitive because we draw huge ratings but no way in **** they want us knocking off ND.

if we lose close, it'll suck but i won't be mad.. if we get KSU'd .. i'd be reasonably mad.. but that would't last.. we've already won one game i had as an L and one i had as a coin flip.. as far as i'm concerned, we're ahead of schedule

If we lose a close one I'll be disappointed if we get raped I'll be mad...but we're winning so no worries
 
Yep I'll be mad . A loss means our kids didn't come out and match the domers energy and intensity early in the game and there is no excuse for that . This is a HUGE game and if these kids can't get up for the domers , who will they be excited to play ? the domers have a pretty good D but thier O is bad , this team is tailor made to beat ND in my opinion .

This place will be unreadable regardless of how we lose. That's why Golden is gonna make sure they win, he wants us all to be happy and get along.
