Lane is one of the kids that Golden must get, otherwise I consider his tenure a failure. He has put so much emphasis on South Florida that if you don't land Sony, Lane, and Cook then you haven't done your job.

okay that may be an exaggeration, but seriously if you can't land kids like that, you gotta win without players like that otherwise you shouldn't have your job.

I just think he already feels this same way..... Last year people were saying Golden would be a failure if he didn't get Tracy Howard. This year some are saying he must land Matthew Thomas (and I am one of them) which I think he is going to get done.

But saying his tenure would be considered a failure b/c of a couple misses in 1 recruiting class isn't being reasonable.... you never know if some recruits want the money bags that other schools may offer, and regardless there is always the next class.
