Hollifield

@Julian_M_Braun Julian Braun
Word Im hearing is Brandon Holifield never received a LOI to sign and fax in.

if he was expecting to get one and wasnt told otherwise, that is majorly ****ed up.

i dont think the coaches would pull that on signing day.

He didn't receive an LOI to sign.

Not sure how I feel about that if true. If it is true, I hope it's either b/c of something he did, or the coaches were up front with him and gave him notice that it would be dependent on other commits. I want to win, but I dont want to stoop to the Saban levels.

I agree with this. I'll add it doesn't fit the kind of image Golden projects and the values I've heard him discuss before, if the scholly was just pulled.

maybe he had to enroll early for his offer to stick?

If true, and he didn't get it done, I'm fine with that.

Don't like this. I would have passed on Dortch over our only TE committ.

Dortch looks solid, position of need (at the time anyways), plus he is neighbors with......blank.....one of our bigtime target/commit for 2013.

Plus I dont think its very fair to really call Holifield a TE. I mean, we hoped he would be one, but thats a stretch.

Kearse is the neighbor I was trying to think of (I think)

im fine with this, we want Miami talent, not FIU talent.. he was probably the weakest recruit honestly

I am with you, but if he is FIU talent, why take the commitment in the first place? Again, we don't know all of the details, for all we know there were a lot of things that went on behind the scenes, but if he thought he had an offer up until this morning and then never received the papers, that is messed up.

Hollifield was a superior athlete who i think would wind up much better than that one kid who came from arizona who almost went to ucla. take Hollifield and toss that kid off the team.

I don't know why your boy Shannon ever went after that kid from Arizona. He couldn't recruit a good TE to save his life.

except tossing a kid off the team doesn't let us add players to the 25 we are signing right now
