both. I actually believe this is even more of a player issue. Not absolving the coaching staff. Secondary players have no clue what they are doing, certainly not doing their homework thats for sure. Its quite an embarrassing product

I generally agree. At some point, players gotta play. I’m not sure if it’s more Guidry or more players and I don’t really care. I’m just frustrated.

I’m not a fan of Harris, but I’m not blaming any players for what we saw on defense this season. To be this lost pre-snap in the last game of the season is 100 percent on poor coaching.
Maybe you can make an argument for players not doing any film study on their own, but they literally looked confused almost every single game pre-snap. it felt like we were out flanked every single time a team went wide or ran any form of misdirection.

Think about the pass to the RB who scored a TD yesterday. There was not a player within 10 yards. it was so bad that is was impossible to even know whose assignment the RB was on that play, but presumably an LB.

I would argue this defense was as bad as we saw from Bill Miller before Butch hired Schiano. Which makes it the worst in 30 years.

He was DC for 2 of the best defenses this program has fielded in the last 21 years. Not ONCE. TWICE. Guidry isn't even in his universe

Guidry's best has been wholly mediocre over that same timespan and this year was a phaqin abortion

Probably. For some unexplainable reason we substituted late and ran in Chase Smith so it makes perfect sense that they only had 10 on the field.

I know that sounds stupid but how does a guy go from a coach that semi-decent from last year to a coach that shouldn’t be coaching a pee wee team.

Who whiffed on the tackle? Couldn’t tell if it was 19 or 15. Talent issues can’t be ignored, but ultimately it falls on coaching.
