Hillery "keeping an open mind" and taking visits?

You guys are mentioning his other schools as if you don't remember his offer list...His OV's are his choice, but Alabama, Clemson, Michigan State, and Florida all offered him prior to him committing.

I have no idea about Hillery, and I'm not saying it's true in this case, but they offered him in May, but that doesn't mean if he tried to commit today, they would accept it.

Has someone beat me to the dreaded "committable" offer comment?

Wait...so let me get this straight.
The board has crowned George Brown, a former 3* OT, as a potential starter or rotational depth player at Tackle even though he rode the bench at LSU....but when it comes to a committed prospect who hasn't even played football for 4 years, and EVERYONE, including Western Michigan is aware that this kid is a raw developmental prospect with a huge upside...you cry about him not being good enough to visit better schools...then when its put in perspective that he DID receive interest and evaluations from other schools that felt he was good enough to spend time offering him before recruiting services even gave a fck about him.. you try to down play the kid even more saying that those offers had to have been non commitable. Does it fcking matter? We already know he isn't going to be a stud on Day 1, so that Plan A, plan B **** holds no merit.

My point is, he is a project player with upside. Posters above me are pretending he is a golden special and are inferring he isn't good enough to have a spot in this class. My counterpoint is that we aren't the only big time school who saw his potential, and offered because of it. The difference is that Bama is already stacked and won't waste time on a project committed to another school.

Why are you quoting me?

Wht does that to do with my post?

1st Post I quoted you because you inferred his offer was non-committable.
2nd Post I quoted you because again, you inferred that Bama wouldn't accept his commitment, and that offer is too old to matter.

Both of my replies were directed toward most of the earlier replies, in addition to yours.

this kid is nothing special imo but within 2 years of work with the staff and in the weight room i think he can be solid depth and borderline starting material... he seems fairly athletic but needs LOTS of work... i have seen guys with less turn into D1 starters... hopefully he has the drive and passion to get to the level i think he could eventually be at...nothing wrong at all with having solid OL depth

No I didn't, I made a joke

Can't lose more OL

i watched his tapes and he looks lost and did not look to have a lot of strength against lighter weight guys he kept double teaming and sucked on his own so why stock up players that are not um quality? no other big schools chasing him. you remember when miami offered this guy out of texas we was his only major offer he started talking about Lsu and texas so miami gave him an ultimatum sign now or we pull. never heard from him again bust.
