Herbie says coach will remind us all week that were 21 point dogs. Al, on the radio yesterday, said he has never once mentioned the spread to his team. Whether favorites or underdogs. Not knocking herbs, just saying.

He may not mention the spread but I assure you he is saying the following:

1. We're underdogs.

2. We haven't won since 2009.

3. Nobody respects us.

Herbie is too young. He needs to talk Musburger or his senile buddy Corso to find out about this stuff. Back to the 80's when 50 to 60 future NFL players where in the 2 deep on day of the games.

I have since corrected the year. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I didn't mean my comment to be directed towards you or the rest of you guys over there. It was a shot at Herbie, and Herbie alone. They're aren't many Hurricane blogs out there. You guys and Sebastian's Pub are leading the way.

And can we fact check that 1998 story? Anquan Boldin was not on FSUs team in 98'. He was a freshman in 2000 the first time he played against UM. I remember because he lit our a$$ up in the OB that year. Along with Atrews Bell and the other WR. But we still came out on top. And I am almost certain that the WR core in for FSU that year was Peter Warrick, Laverneous Coles, and Ron Dugans. NO true freshmen was getting burn that year.

Marvin Minnis was the other receiver in 2000

Snoop a loop was pretty good. Grades killed him though

Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, Herbie are the new "it" boys. Soon the network will take Muffberger out back to put a cap in him, and oh how grand broadcasting will be with the 3 in the booth together.

Palmer describes us a the imposters of the top 10, and we'll get creamed in Tally. Herbie's a bit more cagey.

Our kids know they are a 21-23 point underdog.

Bottom line is beat F$Who, and they all shut up, and suck cok.

Herbstreit said that he got his first real taste of the rivalry in the 2000 game in the Orange Bowl when Anquan Boldin, a freshman at the time, caught a ball near the UM sideline and Miami's NFL alumni were on the sideline giving him the business. He said that he remembers Bolden getting up and getting in their collective faces and jawing with them right back. That game was also remembered as a game where FSU lost due to a missed field goal

uh really? 27-24

they were attempting a 55 yd fg with no time....in an ATTEMPT to TIE the game..not win ****heads

Did Herbie say Kehoe played on the 1983 National Championship team?

Don't believe so. Kehoe might have been a graduate assistant.

"Herbstreit said that Stephen Morris must have his best game of the season and that play action pass on first down will set the tone for this game. Trying to sit back and establish the run against FSU just will not get the job done."

Like i said in some thread earlier in the week.. we can't expect to just run it down their throats, if we're running every first down like we did against wake, and pass on 3rd and long because we have to.. we're going to get creamed.

I could not agree more with his assessment and yours.

Many on here believe we can just run it down FSU's throat. In my view, that's delusional. they will stack the box and penetrate our backfield if we try to simply run left and run right all game. Morris has to make throws, not necessarily bombs. but he has got to hit the TE repeatedly, and some slants and crossing routes to the slot and WRs. If he does that, and we win the turnover/special teams explosive-play battle by at least 2, we pull out the victory.

No doubt they do. Just doubt Coach stresses on this. Or at least he said he doesn't.

The guy is a analysis, not a UM Historian. So he got the year wrong, does that make the story wrong too? Sheesh

Every fan base has there step children that don't have any sense. What can I say, we aren't immune to that fact either.

Hopefully you weed them out without to much collateral damage to those who are just here to chop it up with our in state rival and keep it civil.

Not surprised.

met palmer at a best buy in albany, ny back in '02 when he was here for training camp with the giants. had on a white kangol backwards and a chain...i remember thinking "**** i didnt think a gaytor could be so cool"...now whenever i see him on espn i cant concentrate because he over-emphasizes every consonant and wears a 32L suit when he's probably more like a 42R
