I don't remember the year. I think it was Jacory's soph season. And on top of that, he picked us to beat ND in the BCS title game.


Personally, I'm glad everyone is picking us to win 4 or 5 games. 1st of all, we don't deserve the hype at this point. Any hype whatsoever. 2nd, Herbie has been on our jock wanting to be the 1st guy to call it when The U is back. I think he's a little butthurt. And finally, we do better when we're underestimated.


I really do believe that people out there aren't even really researching our team for than a minute or two before they make our predictions though. We may all have orange and green goggles on here but alot of us have been skeptical for years now and we can see the progress. Some people still think this season will be more like our 97 season. I say it will be more like the 99 season, but I'm hoping for a 2000 type season.



In the ACC, anything is possible. I'll be screaming it like KG if we pull it off.

There are two career backups and a lot of other unknowns at WR. The Mike James didn't really produce much last year in Miller's shadow and with the injury. The TE's were a non-factor last year. There's three new starters on the OL and the QB is new. What's to like for someone who doesn't really know the team?

The year Herbie picked us to win it all he was loved by Canes fans and the only ESPN analyst that really "got it"

Then why make a prediction? Just say you don't know much about the team.

Herb's always had a soft spot in his heart for the U. He's always gone to lengths to be more than fair to the U.

The reason Herb and so many others aren't doing their homework on the U is because we've lost all credibility. We've looked so bad for so long, that why bother?

With Shapiro crap still hanging over our heads, we're not even worth having a look at as we're supposed to be worse than the past several years AFTER the NCAA whacks us - which they haven't done yet.

Just watch. Herb will be more than fair if we can just show him and others that we've got it moving down here.
