Herb Waters

Not a clock-watch burner( as has been talked about at length here) but he just seems to have natural play-making abilities. Very excited to see him, Lockhart and Lewis in the future out wide, along with AJL....

Im very excited about the wr core. Dont know if hurns will come back, but waters, lewis, lockhart, scott, dorsett, jontavious carter, jones, ajl... We are every bit as deep as we are talented.

Not saying he should, but rosenhaus convinces these guys that regardless of their production in college they can woo at the combine and be a high draft pick.

I do think hurns would get drafted this year, but no earlier than mid-late 6th round.

He needs to come back to play himself into rounds 3-4 imo.

lol trust me Hurns isn't going anywhere but starting X Wideout spot at the U next year. If he was healthy most of the year he would of had 8 td catches instead of 4. Kid has great hands.

He has had 2 long touchdowns in the last 2 weeks. Who cares what the numbers are if nobody is catching him. He puts himself in the right place.

Herb is just one of those who plays faster than their 40. I remember the knock on Anquan Boldin was always he's slow but I have never once seen him get caught from behind. On the other end Dorsett has a blazing 40 time but at times I don't see it on the field. You would think he would pull away from guys with his speed. He is much faster without the ball than he is with it. Also McGee is another. All that speed but still gets beat on go routes.

I watched his 40 run. He has a terrible start to his run. He doesnt kick up well and I am amazed he cracks 4.6 with how terrible his start is. That tells me he has some speed to compensate for a terrible jump off the start.

But you tell me......which WR in football starts a snap with a hand in the dirt?

Kid is fast.

The 40 start is one of the more teachable parts of being "fast" in terms of measurables because it has a lot to do with technique. That being said, those who haven't been taught the skill have no particular reason to learn it for football until the 40 will actually impact their future earnings (i.e. at the NFL combine). While top end speed can be improved through strength and technique training, the range for improvement is limited for most. I would venture to say this is even more true for top end speed wearing pads. Herb appears to have it, so I am not worried about his 40 time, which can be improved. Don't be surprised if he clocks much faster in a few years after being coached up for the combine.

Kid pulled away from DBs in limited action this year

Just go look at his 40 run. TERRIBLE start technique. Doesntget jump at all.

Im gonna say he's gonna clock in at high 4.4 low 4.5 when he leaves here.

Dude makes big plays. He went out and took advantage of the opportunity given, and has earned a role in next years gameplanning IMO. And if it does anything to help get his boy Ermon Lane on board, then we'll be in real good shape. Enough of the 40 time nonsense. There will always be someone faster than you. Unless you're U. Bolt.

All these 4.4 guys who never produce on gameday. Waters is the opposite. Excited about his future.

Big Body, Looks slow, waves goodbye to the corner and safety as he flys by striding like a boss.

I could give a happy rats a$$ how he starts his running at the line of scrimmage as long as dude is at full speed when Morris fires it from that cannon 60+ yards down the field.

Guarantee the safeties at uSF and Duke weren't questioning his 40 time.

Turns bubble screens up field quick too. I like seeing our WRs waste NO time on the WR bubbbles.
