Pitt just landed a commitment from a DB. Has to help our chances right?

Yep...4 star CB Damar Hamlin committed to Pitt.... so that tells me Miller let them know he was staying home possibly.... Rumph and CMR working!!!

They been after Hamlin. He was probably their top target in the whole class so IMO it doesn't have any bearing on Miller.

Aaron Mathews committing to Pitt today is a bigger sign about Miller than Hamlin

Hamlin was always in their plans with Miller. Mathews, however, maybe not. I think he was their Plan B for Miller. He comin

miller tweeted a pic of richt and narduzzi and said 2 great men. he's been a pitt commit so that tells me he is at least open to us.

Matthews flipped because Pitt told him he could play WR while Penn State said you're a safety here. Maybe Pitt was more open to that(told that lie) because Miller said he was going to be a Cane but on the surface it doesn't seem like they're connected.

Miller did the right thing and told them he was coming here.

Yep.
He was raised right.

//I can hear Mel Ascot *****er's little fingers crawling up to his tablet to post some drivel
about how the tone would be different if he signed elsewhere.

Exactly. Kid still gets the press and the big show on Signing Day, the losing school gets to secure their plan B kid.

Honestly, Byrd should be doing the same thing and letting the losing school know ahead of time.

Why should he? lol He knows wherever he goes it's up to him at the end of the day. homerism aside

Because it's the right thing to do. Especially if you're a man, and not a pus**y. Just like when a team wants to drop a kid they previously offered, they should tell the kid ASAP so the kid can actually find another school that wants him. Man up and be straight with the kid.

Obviously, Richt and company have been around the block and will deal with a Byrd defection like grown *** men... Still doesn't make a Signing Day defection any less of a Pus**y move. And that goes for coaches who drop kids at the last minute too.
