Have we not seen the trend yet?

So true. And how Ole Miss gets away with buying this years class is beyond me. And Bama has more trash going around it's campus then most landfills. But Benihana and boatrides are the problem.

Especially after their coach said on signing day, "If you think someone on my staff isn't doing the right thing let me know."

 **looks around and slowly raises hand**

I've ALWAYS questioned the motives of the SEC and wondered why they continue their "dominance" and nothing is EVER questioned in regards to their athletes. Guess that's why in the past few years i've ben seeing the rise of the "SEC fan".

as much as this sounds like a great conspiracy..

there is only 1 reasy why SEC schools will dominate college football (until things change)

TRY walking in to Alabama say something bad about Alabama or even think about snitching.. you will be dead within the hours. You think if Shapiro was in Alabama he would of even thought about pulling this?

The entire state is focused on football pretty much, the NCAA can't ever prove anything against these SEC schools.. it is very hard.

The schools invest pro team style of money in to the football program. While Miami is actually a high ranked school Alabama looks at Football above education. They actually can care less if their players end up in the NFL.. its college ball above the NFL

also the NCAA will go after ANY program that is vulnerable to their tactics. they hit PSU that heavy because they knew this is a once in a lifetime chance to hit fast and hard and have the public praise them. it was pure PR

Guess thats why we produce talent that actually makes a difference at the next level.

Elite,
My bad on the link, if people go to the 39th page of the LOIC thread the info is there on the 2 board members. Nice work Elite, love good info!

I get that it is hard to find info, on the one hand.

On the other hand they never bother to investigate. OSU, Oregon, USC, UNC, Boise, and Miami had NCAA investigators for extended periods examine the minutia of their program.

But when former players openly admit on TV Auburn paid them, an easy PR play if I've seen one, they don't even attempt to open a case. You had multiple players freely admitting to Bryant Gumble they were paid. The cat was already out of the bag.

Shariff Floyd gets adopted at age 21 by a Gator alum. No interest whatsoever on even checking that out.

The Cam Newton thing speaks for itself.

How about Tennessee using chicks as whores at high school football games?

There are easy to access stories out there but they don't even ATTEMPT to investigate them. Any of those stories could have easily ended up in a single interview where a player or coach or student says something different from another and BAM lack of institutional control.

Do you think anything is going to come from the Bama roids story? It's no different from Shapiro: one man claims something with mild evidence to back it up. Why does Miami and USC et al get treated to this but NEVER an SEC school??

Bs. Auburn fans say bad things about Alabamba all the time, and Auburn is located in Alabama.

Actually, Proxy is dead on on this one. Auburn fans are just the rebellious ones that don't want to put on the blood red A. Living in Birmingham, I could go on for hours about how CFB is more important than public schools/ infrastruture/ and pretty much anything that would stand to improve the education level of the state. Keep em dumb, so they can't see whats happenning.

you missed the point... Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, LCU etc.. they can talk all the smack they want but running to the NCAA for paying players free drinks etc will cost you your life pretty much

USC, Boise, Miami, OSU, UNC. All teams that have been basically taken out of national title contention by aggressive NCAA investigations.

USC was a machine, and was the next great dynasty in college football history. They had the best coach and a top 3 recruiting ground to themselves. Enter NCAA.

Miami is basically unstoppable with a competent coach. Top recruiting grounds, NFL brand. Golden comes, NCAA steps in.

Boise State, best coach in the land possibly, builds a program that is not in the old boy network that ***** on power conference teams. NCAA steps in with JOKE sanctions.

UNC.....Butch starts building an NFL factory AGAIN. Team is primed to breakout and be a title contender. NCAA steps in.

OSU is a storied program in a fertile recruiting ground that was competing for titles yearly with an elite coach. NCAA changes that.

Now, while I'm not saying these schools are innocent, I find it VERY convenient that the most recent NCAA investigations ALL FOCUS ON TEAMS THAT THREATEN THE SEC DOMINANCE NATIONALLY.

How does a conference go from being just another conference to being unstoppably better than everyone without raising eyebrows??? And during that same time, all major threats to their dominance are CONVENIENTLY stifled by NCAA investiagtions that we now know are done with a specific outcome in mind.

College football is run by the SEC, Texas, and Notre Dame. Anything that threatens that trifecta is conveniently crippled over things like a ride in a Ferrari and a washer dryer.

Enough is enough.

What do you expect when the NCAA prez is an $ec guy from L$U

My favorite thing about this whole lack of institutional control is that under Urban there was 31+ arrest involving football players HOW THE **** IS THE INSTITUTION CONTROLLING ITS PLAYERS? What ever happen when Julio, Trent and the other guys tweeted out pictures of them at a dinner with a booster and thanking him for the free suites. Along with the booster using the players Names to attract customers with having singing days of pictures and jerseys of the players.

I agree with the OP on everything except one point: Boise State was never poised to upset the power structure of jack ****. What an embarrassment it would have been if B.S. with their absurd schedule had ever made a title game.

mahphuckas trying too hard to connect the dots.

NCAA penalty ain't helping us get back to the top but we went down because of 8 solid years of corching by Coker and Shannon.

justifying your actions because everyone else does it is stupid. man up, move on, and don't get caught next time.

people just LOVE trying to conjure up these conspiracies.

there could have been a Oregon vs Kansas State NC game this year. unfortunately both teams choked a fat d!ck at the wrong time.

so STFU about $EC and don't give them credit or a thought on your mind. hope my team has the same mentality because I know the fans don't.
