I don’t know much about how his prior stints have gone as an OC but if he calls a good game in the bowl game with a scheme that is similar to Lashlee’s and TVD and co. continue to play well, should he be considered to be full time OC? He has prior experience as an OC so i dont think it’s too crazy to consider. Certainly more than Briles or Dorsey which are names i have seen being mentioned. Although I am entrigued by Briles. Have always like Likens being on staff, would like to see him retained if possible even in just a position roll too

I think he’s been a good wr coach for us for sure. Really the one guy I would have kept. Not sp sure about his OC ability though. Up to Mario I reckon.

Just so ur aware, at this point Dorsey is **** near considered a guru at the NFL level. Ask Shula who was doing what for cam & ask Josh Allen who's responsible for his success...

Same guys saying no to Dorsey, saying yes to Brady don’t realize Brady was an offensive assistant (like no position coach title) before LSU with no playing calling experience. He was just considered a bright mind like Dorsey, I would even say Dorsey’s resume is better (prior to either one of them ever being official OCs and calling plays) given his position coach title and history along with the passing game coordinator title. I don’t get all the backlash against Dorsey, but stomping on the table for Brady.

Either could be successful along with some other assistants who have never called plays before, but have learned a lot from great offensive minds.

Beat me to it. Stopped reading after the part you put in bold.

As far as Dorsey vs Brady, it’s a very fair comparison. At this point, Dorsey is probably more likely to get an OC title at the NFL level than Brady. He is a hot name. Has been around a lot of different programs and schemes. It’s time to bring the legend back home. Ken is qualified. Bring the man home. Guys like Mario and Dorsey make it easier for fans, the community, and boosters to commit. Come on home Ken. Show us what you learned in the big leagues.

He's going to be an OC in the NFL this off-season (he's already been mentioned for several OC jobs the last few years) probably and I even saw him on a future NFL head coaching list sometime this past week. He's very highly thought of in the NFL.

I think Dorsey is Mario’s #1 choice. Is Mario going to wait for Kenny or is he going to move on?

I thought Likens would have left with Lashlee for the OC position at SMU. The fact he has stuck around leads me to think he may be a candidate, or Mario might still want to keep to coach wrs. He has recruited well in that position and his players have developed.

With the money being available for staff they need a good price Guy

Will say that the receivers didn't drop nearly as many passes this season. And yes i know - the two Homestead guys hardly played, but recall that Rambo supposedly had the dropsies at OU, (and to a lesser extent Harley) but not here.

I watch a lot os ASU ball. He does alot of interesting things with personnel & I wonder how he would use a guy like Brashard Smith. I would like someone with a more proven track record though especially since we are spending now.

This below is a podcast with him on working as ASU OC
