I don’t know that I would classify those two as unnecessary game players, especially Surtain. That said, I’m sure there’s been players who clowned us and had success afterwards but there’s plenty of busts too.

Agree. I think there is a huge difference between trolling and legitimately considering options and choosing another school. I think Jeudy really gave us a shot, as did JSmith, but went elsewhere. A lot of the bozos that chose UF over us after playing lots of games, however, have shown nothing.

Not sure how you could do it scientifically, but I'd be curious how guys that play recruiting games (not just with Miami) perform long-term versus those who handle their recruitments as adults. I'd bet most of the game players have little success as it's a sign of both their immaturity and that of their support system around them.

I tracked it a few years ago. Those that just completely disrespected us, basically everyone of them amounted to nothing. It’s very simple. Kids that do that crap don’t have the mental makeup to play big time ball.

Let it go, if he couldn't look good in a Lincoln Riley offense he was not going to look good here or anywhere. Be thankful he didn't choose us because we would be blaming our coaches for wasting a 5 star talent.

IDK if quit is the word when you aint welcome anymore lol He did ish at OU, went to Arkansas and did ish, UDFA by Philly in May 2023, by August 2023 he was released and did not catch on anywhere. That was obviously last year and without anyone signing him this year I think he realized he should probably prioritize his employment efforts elsewhere if you are 2+ years post college and still not in the league.

the good news apparently is that even if none of his professional endeavors work out he can always came back and live rent free in the heads of canes fans.

I mean I think running almost a 4.7 40 doesn’t really bode well for wrs. I say it all the time but show me a player that trolled us during recruiting that had a good career or even a career in general.
