Is it official? Their 247 guy put up a list of “possibilities”. Hartline as “OC” with Day still calling plays was one option. Hartline as co OC with the possible OL coach was another. There was no option” where Hartline called plays. The mod did say they might tell Hartline he would work into being the play caller.

I think it’s just the fans trying to wish it into reality
If the HC is calling the plays, then he'll be an OC in title only. Which is exaclty what will happen. Hartline has zero (0) OC experience. He's not getting the keys to the Bentley. It's the parent telling the 15 year old I got you a new car for your birthday. You can wash and wax it, but you can't drive it.

He needs to be hired off into the NFL if you guys ever wanna see us landing elite South FL WR's ever again.

Unfortunately, he might just be one of those ****head Corches like Lames Broley, that can't really do anything besides recruit.

And if that's the case, he's gonna stay with OH ST for a very long time...
Not being a smart A, but you don't think Trader, Moore, Toney are elite? Of course they aren't Smith(who is in last 20 years), but I would say they are at least really close from prospect standpoint.

I think it's more SFE than Harline recruiting South Florida honestly, but that's me.

Smith & Innis

Who else they get from South FL?
