If Restrepo won the Heisman or was considered the greatest Hurricane ever I would not have voiced opposition. Those are both examples from before my lifetime I think I'm of the majority. In the same breath if Colorado puts up a Hunter statue I wouldn't bat an eye.

True; but, in fairness w/ both Marino & A.I they led their teams to their respective sport’s championship game & were MVPs. They are also both in discussion for best ever for their organizations.

As much as I love X, & what he did, am I putting him over Andre, Reggie, Michael, Santana on the WR pantheon? Absolutely not.

Completely agree.

In all honesty should X get a statue, especially over the greatness we’ve had over the years.. definitely no!

But I definitely think he should be honored somehow for his career here.
