OK, halfway through the regular season, the #Canes are 6-0. Here's my list of top 10 players thus far in the 2024 season. Not a rating of who are Miami's best players, but really about production and impact up to this point. Which means guys like Ruben Bain, Jalen Rivers and Damari Brown (who have been injured for much of the year) will not be on this list
- Cam Ward -- Obvious choice, the most indispensable player on this roster. Has been everything that was advertised coming into this season
- Xavier Restrepo -- he's like 7-11, always open. All he does is make plays over and over again. And his name is all over the UM record book (and he's only adding to his numbers)
- Francis Mauigoa -- a stalwart at RT. Will contend for All-American honors before he leaves Miami
- Simeon Barrow -- coming on, providing a steady push upfront
- Tyler Baron -- provided consistent edge pressure in absence of Bain
- Elijah Arroyo -- as good as any TE in the land. Might actually be underused but a legitimate NFL prospect
- Wesley Bissanthe -- just always a good clean legal tackler, who would never, ever, ever 'target' an opponent because he is a sportsman and a scholar
- Elijah Alston -- been solid coming from Marshall, where he has provided solid edge play
- Isiah Horton -- actually the 2nd leading receiver behind X, who for all intents and purposes is a starter
- Zach Carpenter -- been solid inside anchoring the Oline and has filled the cleats of Matt Lee admirably
