Gus the Bus Edwards

Looked like an NFL RB.

Should back up Duke immediately - far more talent than OT and Crawford.

I don't know if I would say far more talented, but agree he has a little something OT and Crawford don't. I am interested to see how he develops with more reps and practice time.

I think Gus is far more talented then both but it is potential.... Eduardo is a solid change of pace back at the moment.

Dallas Crawford needs to show me more but Gus is more talented then both imo.... Fast, strong, shifty, and has good balance.

Agree he has more potential, but we are talking about right now and I wouldn't put him way ahead of Crawford or OT.

Yea he's good I hope we run the ball alot this year we have a good oline and some good backs we need to run to set up the play acc plus it keeps the D off the field

Gus looked great but ole EC didn't look bad either I think all 3 of them with a run or two of crawfords will be great

Feel likes he runs a little too upright and needs to get closer to his ground. Reminds me a little of how Alonso Highsmith used to run.

And that's a bad thing how? If he runs anything like Highsmith did, I'll take that every day and twice on Sunday.

By mid season I think Gus will be the guy spelling Duke with some Clements and Crawford sprinkled in.

I was hoping that he would have gotten more touches in the 2nd half. Doubt he sees the field next week

I too doubt he sees the field next week, especially since on one of the goal line carries he lost the ball. The officials ruled that his momentum had already stopped and therefore it wasn't officially a turnover, but taking care of the ball is what coaches worry about most with young rbs and so that couldn't have boosted their confidence in that regard. My guess is they won't want to take a chance of it happening against Florida, not when they have veteran backs like Clements and Crawford that they can go with.

Gus did just fine.

A couple of times, he got the ball, looked up, and it looked like FAU was posing for a team picture.

Can't run through a wall.
