Guidry gone yet???

Pretty sure the slim slim slim chance of still making the playoffs is likely keeping Wario from firing Guidry. As bad as the defense has been, if by some miracle we make the playoffs, it would be even worse if we didn’t have a DC
Why? Anyone still employed could plan and run a defensive plan just as good as Guidry.

Honestly...I don't care where Guidry learns this off season! Because more than likely he's not going to be Miami's DC

If Giudry is coaching the bowl game, I will have to root for our D to play bad (ie, to play to their norm) so Mario doesn't get manipulated into keeping Giudry. So be it.

Giving a coordinator a chance to leave with some dignity, like after coaching the bowl game where Guidry can make his case for the next job, will help Mario land future coordinators. it’s a good reputation to have when hiring a new coordinator. Which is about every 2 years that a program is hiring a new coordinator. Either because they failed and were fired, or because they exceeded expectations and were hired for a head coach job elsewhere.

Wow...a sober and sane post that explains why "message board bloodlust" is not the factor that dictates the timing of personnel movements.

Mario has let guys find their next home rather than canning them. Maybe it doesn’t fit our agenda but I have to think they respect that at the very least

Why is it that EVERYONE in the world knows that ISU wanna play offense on the edge, yet no one on our defense (coordinator) wanna force them back in the middle of the field?
