Just wondering why Mario hasn't fired Guidry yet? Other teams firing coordinators that aren't getting the job done already. I know we have early signing day, but how many of our defensive recruits that we lost may have stayed if Guidry was fired? Wasted the best offense in recent history and a playoff shot because our DC was beyond incompetent.

The irony is that a major reason we missed the playoffs is that Cam Ward and the offense failed to show up in a game where the defense actually played one of their better games of the season. It wasn’t a good defensive performance but it was less awful than most. Holding GT to 28 should have been enough for an offense averaging 45+ ppg, but we couldn’t crack 25 points. The offense carried the team all season but Ward was awful that day. And as Ward goes, the team goes. Not diminishing anything he did overall, but I kinda expected some Heisman type heroics to kickstart the offense, unfortunately it didn’t happen. If Um wins that game, Syracuse game is irrelevant and we are in the playoffs, bad defense and all.

Pretty sure the slim slim slim chance of still making the playoffs is likely keeping Wario from firing Guidry. As bad as the defense has been, if by some miracle we make the playoffs, it would be even worse if we didn’t have a DC

We all know Mario has slow timelines for staffing decisions. Guidry or anyone else being here today doesn't mean they will be on staff in two weeks, or on staff in January or February.

Many feel do not have one as it is.

So, that's a double edged sword that we're currently riding like a cheap *****.

The proof is in the results on the field, as well as the recruiting.

These things tend to drag out with Mario. It could be February before Guidry finds a new gig and Mario completes his interviews for a replacement.

Has anyone put out a path for us to get in? I haven't seen one and I don't think we will move up to 11. I'm just curious why anyone would think it?
