Was also going to say that Syracuse does a lot of the same and isn’t a motion and disguise type team. They have much better offensive skill talent than Wake but a worse OL and a turnover prone QB.Came to say this as well. This was a perfect matchup for our defense. A team with limited talent who doesn’t run much disguise or attack the edges.
I actually like our matchup with Cuse too. They’re not physical, they’re mainly a drop back passing team with an immobile QB.
Not getting ahead of ourselves, but we’re going to have a lot of trouble with SMU, provided we get there. They excel at what we struggle with. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. For next week, I expect to be able to pressure McCord and force him into mistakes. They’ll have success because they’re a pretty good offense overall but it’s very one dimensional and they don’t do a ton to confuse a defense or go hyperspeed to the edges.
If they want to win, they’d be stupid not to implement some of it. Literally retarded.
That game took my perception of Clawson/Ruggiero down a notch because I’m not sure how you watch us 2 weeks ago and don’t even try to replicate some of it. Boneheaded. Reminds me of Mario/Dawson never trying anything you see other teams doing and having success vs the common opponent and just sticking to what you do and who you are.
