GT vs UGA Game Thread & GT QB being held out to preserve RS against UGA

I'm still ****ed, the blatant cheating is just crazy to see
I'm not going to blame the refs for GT losing the game. The refs clearly aided UGA all game, but GT still had the chance to win. That fumble is what did them in.

During the game, I was in a group text with a couple buddies. Neither of them are GT nor UGA fans. Not Miami fans either, so they were being objective. Both of them were shocked at the number of blatant holds by UGA o-lineman that were not called. After that fumble, I told them the refs were not going to let UGA lose.

That PI on that 4th and goal was also total BS. I can understand the refs missing the tipped pass, but it would not have been PI even if the ball wasn't tipped.

GT going away from the jet sweep motion after OT, will always baffle me. Sure they may not have gotten three yards every single time but **** it worked too much in that game to just toss it away after 2OT.

Yep, I noticed that as well. Key got outcoached by Kirby big time in those OT periods. Kirby was using his time outs, which forced GT to change plays. They were having trouble even running the play. The one time UGA didn't send pressure, King had all day to throw and hit Rutherford. Outside of that play, GT's two-point attempts looked like a free for all, no chance at all.

UGA called much better plays for their two point attempts, but just weren't executing them. Give GT's defense some credit on a couple of those, but it was just a matter of time before UGA started cashing in.

I’m sure it was mentioned already so this isn’t some fresh take, but that screen GT threw from under center (3OT maybe?) was possibly the worst play call I’ve seen since the 2015 Sun Bowl.

I think it was after 2OT. Either way it was a horrendous call that everyone saw coming a mile away.

Even smooth brain Palmer said why do they keep coming out in the same formation. Key should’ve gone for 2 after the first OT too. What did they have to lose?

They are. One game doesn’t change that.

You aren’t changing my mind
It’s not one game. They got pushed by a UF team w a random accounting student who won a raffle to play QB, allowed 6,000 yards in a half against a average bama team and got **** upon by a Ol Miss team that itself got **** upon by billy.

Georgia has looked beatable quite a bit this year. Not just the two games they lost but the one point win against a garbage Kentucky team was telling. Needing two late touchdowns to beat a garbage Gator team with their third string quarterback wasn’t pretty either.

They’re not good on the offensive line. They only run for about 130 yards per game. Beck gets pressured quite a bit. I honestly think Miami could handle them.

I was surprised GT manhandled UGA like that for what 54 minutes? It was a bully beatdown in yards, rush yards, TOP, first downs.

Refs stepped in late with an assist.

They sure did step in with an assist. That Terry Porter level pass interference flag in OT handed GT the chance to walk off the win from the 1 yard line. I can’t believe they didn’t punch it in.

We got called for PI on a play earlier this year that Alston tipped. My question then and also last night is why these coaches aren’t screaming for a review, unless something changed or I’m conflating the NFL rules, that’s a reviewable play.
