GRIMBLE

Reason 100000 not to leave Florida for DE/DT

5 star Nevada player = 2 star Florida player

FIFY

He's not a DT. Watch his film. He is a pass rushing DE. He is quick......maybe not anymore due to major weight gain.

He should be playing DE. He's going to be useless at DT here

Well all of our DLinemen will be useless playing this ***** scheme

He definitely not a DT...that is true. He's not athletic enough to play end though, either.

doesn't it seem that D'Nos "defense" may be a bad fit for the type of players that we have access to in South FL? the defense makes me want to vomit

Jelani - 4 star true freshman
Chick - 4 star true sophomore
McCord - 4 star true freshman
Grimble - 5 star true sophomore
Pierre - 3 star true sophomore
Luther - 4 star RS junior

For purposes of balance, my addition in red

NO DL can be counted on to play significant snaps as a true freshman. McCord, Moore, Ivery, Terry, and Hamilton really have no business being on the field right now. I think they will all be great players one day but watch the ND on DVR in slow motion, this kids were getting MAN-HANDLED. ND has 4 Senior OL and 1 Junior. Do you know how much of a difference that makes? I saw McCord and Earl Moore pancaked 10-15 yards down the field about 10 times. Don't even get me started on Shayon Green, Corey King, and Darius Smith.

Core King is starting!!!!!! Seriously, think about that. His only other offer was FIU and he is starting as a true Sophomore! Olsen Pierre was heading to Temple. No one recruited Darius Smith. NO ONE! Shayon Green is a LB who has no explosion have numerous knee surgeries and put on 20 lbs to play end which slowed him down even more.

Why should our defense be any better than FIU or Eastern Kentucky when the players they would be recruiting are starting for us....as true sophomores.

All Coach D is asking them to is maintain the line of scrimmage. It is simple. The purpose is to keep the OL off the LB. It makes complete sense. LB is the strength of our team. Why would you starting shooting gaps with guys who probably wont make plays anyways and negate the strength of your defense. Further, offenses will just adjust and use cut backs, counters, etc. It is STUPID and it is why they won't change. You will have the same results and it will probably be worse. Plus the kids won't learn anything and we will be in this same position 3 years from now.

We are playing defense with a scout team DL at best and that is why we are getting crushed on defense. There is no scheme that can mask our lack of game ready DL. Deal with it.

But they suck all of a suddenly? Coach D gap control corching is killing this team. Let them do what they did in high school...kill the man with the ball. **** it. You're already 118th in the country

Luther Robsinson tried that once, in the BC game, and got punished for forcing a fumble.

I'm so sick of this. You act like it's a fact that Robinson was "punished for forcing a fumble." One poster said that on the other board, which was dumb, and everyone jumped on it like it was gospel.

There is a reason USC let him go without a fight. Kid is a tweener. Too slow and no explosion for DE and too small and weak for DT. I remember a ton of USC fans saying he was overrated and wouldn't end up in their class long before we got on him.

Luther was punished for popping off on the coaches when they asked him to help on the scout team.

JAlen Grimble.
When a Corey King with only 2 or 3 games experience passed him by on the depth chart and plays 2 to 3 times as many snaps you know Grimble has no future at miami.Ivery will soon pass him by also and we're looking to sign some JC guys that will also be ahead of him.I was concerned when USC asked him to switch to OL which was a way to get him to go somewhere else and now we see why they did it.
