Im not sure if he used his redshirt at Iowa or not, but he would still have to sit out even if he used it here. Its mandated unless you are a grad student or you are moving within 100 miles of your home town.

ESPN Insider rumour mill is reporting that Iowa Freshman RB Greg Garmon is transferring from Iowa and mayb looking at Miami (Iowa, Miami, and Penn st were his finalist before picking Iowa) has anybody heard anything about him looking at Miami. I cant find anything confirming on other sites

I like how it says "maybe looking at Miami," and doesn't make any mention of whether we actually are even glancing at him.
There are a lot of kids looking at Miami but that doesn't mean the feeling is mutual, especially with someone who has already spurned the Canes.

I live in Erie pa. His home town. We DO NOT want!! Didn't want last yr.either. No comparison in talent with a Florida back. Definitely not a Miami caliber back. He will end up going to a MAC school at best.

Garmon is a **** good athlete but it would be a joke if we took him as a RB. There's 20 RBs in our backyard better. We wanted him at safety anyways.

**** I'm originally from Erie. Graduated from McDowell in '91

I was never impressed with his HS film. He was a 100 meter guy playing against lesser competiton. He got some carries this year but showed very little. I'd expect him to end up a juco somewhere for a year.
