He plays on a motorized scooter and is tended to by his Haitian nurse on the sidelines in between possessions, yet he still gets after it.
Huge heart. I have crazy respect for this guy. ******* hard-working grinder.
There was one play vs USF where Green was lined up over the WR, then blitzed from the flats, and the RB was handed the ball, and was clearly in Green's path, and basically still ran around him...didn't even throw a juke at all.
As long as we dont put Green in a position to make a play against a RB in the open field, then im all for him being on the field.
Georgia and mark richt must be shooting themselves, how the **** did they miss this kid
If you watch the game again, pay close attention to the last play of the 1st quarter. The QB hands the ball to the RB, and fakes the run, and Green destroys him.
Made me lol
Everyone needs to go ahead and give me ALL the credit for calling it on Shayon Green stepping up big this year and not being a terrible football player.
I think by the time this season is over with, we ought to be speaking of Shayon Green just as highly as everyone speaks (now) of Mike James. Two guys who weren't super-highly recruited, maximized their skills through hard work, and overcame adversity to become key contributors on the field.
There are better/more talented DL on this team, but Green has become the best DL we've got at this point in time as far as overall productivity and steadiness.
