Great game from him. Did anyone else notice him chasing after Shaw on their first drive? That dude has some wheels for his size. He was literally running stride for stride with Shaw and Gunter. Very impressive.

I have to eat crow regarding Green. I did not expect our defense could be as stout as it has with him playing so many meaningful snaps. Obviously, the addition of Gilbert and AQM on passing downs has been a huge boost, but Green appears to be really getting done on 1st and second. It defies all medical science, as he is playing with the knees of a 60-year-old.

Hats off.

If you watch the game again, pay close attention to the last play of the 1st quarter. The QB hands the ball to the RB, and fakes the run, and Green destroys him.

Made me lol

Everyone needs to go ahead and give me ALL the credit for calling it on Shayon Green stepping up big this year and not being a terrible football player.

I think by the time this season is over with, we ought to be speaking of Shayon Green just as highly as everyone speaks (now) of Mike James. Two guys who weren't super-highly recruited, maximized their skills through hard work, and overcame adversity to become key contributors on the field.

There are better/more talented DL on this team, but Green has become the best DL we've got at this point in time as far as overall productivity and steadiness.

He plays on a motorized scooter and is tended to by his Haitian nurse on the sidelines in between possessions, yet he still gets after it.

Huge heart. I have crazy respect for this guy. ******* hard-working grinder.

THis is a kid that has highly benefited from being in Golden's system....

UTOUGH, the nutrition program, etc. has really made this kid an outstanding player

I love his work ethic he seems a lot more mobile then last year...kid deserves all the good that is coming to him in the future..

Georgia and mark richt must be shooting themselves, how the **** did they miss this kid

Edit: and that **** paul johnson

There was one play vs USF where Green was lined up over the WR, then blitzed from the flats, and the RB was handed the ball, and was clearly in Green's path, and basically still ran around him...didn't even throw a juke at all.

As long as we dont put Green in a position to make a play against a RB in the open field, then im all for him being on the field.

He's the type of guy I would love to see stick around the program when his playing days are over

there have been plenty of times where Shayon Green has made those tackles in open space as well.... everyone gets beat at times even guys that are much better talent wise then he is.

Mike James was a 4 star recruit so I'm confused. And I said it earlier this off season that Green is a solid player and got a lashing from multiple people saying he is garbage. **** all of you!! Feels good to be right but not that great with a lot of this crowd. Not too hard to be right in a room full of idiots.

I never understood why people keep saying his knees are bad.

There is nothing wrong with his knees and he has not had an issue in over three years.

Who started that rumor about his knees
