Grayson v Norcross 8pm

They showed the game in georgia on local tv that doesnt tell the whole story. The field was in shambles. Kids were sliding all over the place. Surprised nobody got hurt. I wanna see him next week. He has some tools the boy can throw it on a rope.
yes. Rusty Mansell from the UGA 247 site was doing the commentary on Peachtree TV for the game. He kept talking about how bad the field was. It was also 38 degrees.

Couple observations about the game and Jake.
1. Norcross is a big time program and has a fast defense. This was a good test for Grayson and Garcia and probably the toughest defense Jake will see in high school. I wasn’t expecting 350 yards against Norcross.
2. Grayson runs a lot of quick throws and slants. So Garcia looks stiff at times but its in large part because he’s looking to throw quickly.
3. I liked how Garcia looked when he took a more conventional drop on a 3rd and 18. He looked comfortable dropping back. We won’t be limited to throwing quick slants.
4. Jake DOES NOT leave the pocket. Period.
5. For better or worse (I’ll say for better), Jake reminds me of Brad Kaaya. good arm, can make all the throws but needs protection as he isn’t making plays with his feet.
6. Keep in mind that Grayson’s stud running back (Clemson commit) is out so all those good backs you saw last night are back ups.

I’m encouraged by the arm talent, I was skeptical on his ability to rip it, but he’s got a strong arm.

Still concerned about lack of mobility & footwork, he can be statue sometimes in the pocket, on a team with a great OL he’d be a Superstar, but behind our OL especially our interior line he might struggle a great deal with not having enough time to get rid of the ball or not being able to escape the pocket quick enough & buy himself some time.

A good take just based on class rankings, will be interesting to see how he develops in the next few years.

God help him if he has to play too early as a TF. If King doesn’t comeback I’m still in favor of getting a Portal QB.

Yea his athleticism is somewhere between Kayaa and Jameis Winston.

See him the same. It's an OK take. His lack of athleticism and production makes him just OK to me but worth the spot. Let him battle it out with Van *******, and the loser leaves town. I also think if King leaves, Manure better get a portal guy because I don't trust any of the other options at all.

He throws darts...not quite as accurate to the sideline. But he rips it in between the hashmarks and hitting horizontal moving targets
