Sorry no inside knowledge. Alumni of Charlotte and seen the team play since they started program 10 yrs ago.

With change of staff a lot of players will leave as old coach was players coach and new guy (Biff) seems like a tougher no nonsense guy so most won’t mesh.

Anyways Dubose was expected around a 2nd-3rd rd pick coming into season and didn’t disappoint. Hard worker and good player.

Another to watch is Soph WR Elijah Spencer who has been great and tied Dubose with 9tds and almost 1k yards. He is expected to transfer as well and has good size and athletics. Worth a look if he enters portal. Originally from South Carolina area.

Always read the forums here as longtime Canes fan but this thread made me want to comment with the local connection.

Let's hope he's gone way before December 27th, which is when Manny canned Enos one year into it.

There is a reason Gattis isn't involved with recruiting ... that is only for ACTIVE coaches. One portal WR acknowledged receiving an offer from Alonzo Highsmith. That tells you quite a bit.

when did you attend UNCC?

I was there spring 2010- spring 2012, left right when the plans were materializing for the stadium

No one knows what he's involved in. Yes a WR tagged Highsmith but a qb also tagged Ponce and gattis as well. Won't know **** till after this weekend

One interesting thing if Gattis is let go after Pitt... Mario could potentially let Highsmith slide into one of the "on field" coaching slots as his replacement and then send him out to recruit. That would give him the full green light for off campus visits etc. If not Highsmith, maybe DVD. Just make them a hired gun focussing full time on recruiting.
