Im sure the staff wants to get a real measurement from him. They will do that on the visit

A lot of people have felt the same way. Gotta trust the staff here, the guy obviously has some skills but you bring up a good point.

yeah i deleted the post b/c i trust the coaching staff and his tape is very impressive regardless.... good burst and doesn't look afraid of contact.

Ah, I tried to rep you for it no wonder it wasn't working LOL. Thought I was going to have to call out our fearless leader.
 
He has a great first step, that opens everything else up. Tackles fear the outside speed rush so the inside is his when he wants it. Natural pass rusher, you can't teach that.

Need a guy that can get in the backfield IMMEDIATELY.

12 total team sacks (113th in the nation) is unacceptable. 101st in tackles for loss, also unacceptable. If you can rush the passer and get in the backfield and do it NEXT YEAR, you better have a scholarship offer available for you.
 
I wonder if this kid gets offered, does EJohnson get shown the door. They both play the same position and I can't see any coaching staff offering a JUCO a ship if they felt there star RFr was going to be there for a couple years

This kid doesn't impact Eddie Johnson at all. Bond is more in the role of what we want McCord to be in a year or two.

Bond is maybe 6'1 235 at most... I dont think they are recruiting him as a OLD/DE.
 
Looks pretty explosive. The thing that popped out to me was his emotion on the field. Kid looks genuinely into the game when he makes a play and that is in front of a few thousand people. That is something you cannot teach, and honestly we have been lacking that in a lot of areas.

what's his story? so so prep career, no good offers so went juco to get better? great prep career but didn't qualify anywhere so he went juco?
