Good news next year

I will ALWAYS feel the COASTAL record is what determine the COASTAL winner. Otherwise, it's an uneven playing field, period. Idiocy to have it the way it is now. I don't care if we go 6-2 and our only losses are to say Clemson and FSU. If we go 6-0 in the Coastal, we should be Coastal champs. End of discussion. Use the overall ACC record as a lower level tie breaker.

Well first we need to actually go 6-0 in the Coastal.
It should be fixed before it happens, no? Do you wait until your tire explodes before you change it, or when you see wire showing do you realize there's a problem and change your tire?

This isn't a level playing field, whereas playing everyone in the division is 100% equal.

Clemson and UL will not be near as good next year.

A bad, rebuilding UNC team played at FSU this year, and easilly finished over us.

We have an automatic 0-1 hole to start 2017 because of FSU.

I've never really understood the logic of being declared a conference champion without being required to play everyone in your conference but that's the reality of today's college football scene that is dictated by mega conferences and TV deals.

We are on equal footing ACC schedule wise.

VT plays Clemson
GT plays Clemson
UNC plays Louisville
PITT plays NC St who will be good next year but I'm not worried about Pitt next year

We obviously get FSU.

Tired of these other teams getting Wake and Syracuse and winning the division.

Yearly crossover games:

Va Tech- BC
UNC- NC State
Pitt- Syracuse
GT- Clemson
Miami- FSU
Virginia- Louisville

i agree its time to take it back; the only reason we were losing commits, 1) bad personal shanna is gone, 2) bad coaches randy and golden gone, 3} when you are from miami and you beat those teams in the north florida the hate is so strong they go else where, they dont understand that they are a part of miami being from florida and they take personal. most of these guys don't have miami no where in their recruiting.

Georgia Tech's crossover opponent is Clemson, and it hasn't stopped them from winning the ACC.

No excuses.

Our default loss to FSU never hurts us. Its embarrassing losses in the Coastal that keeps us a 3rd to 5th place Coastal joke

No One is arguing that.

I preferred the days of 8-10 team conferences. With that being said I was in favor of Miami moving to the ACC so we wouldn't be playing freezing November games and facing Rutgers and Temple every year.

Even if we lose to FSU every year for the rest of the program's history we're guaranteed to win the Coastal as long as we go 7-0 vs everybody else.

I agree that the Coastal standing should be determined by games between Coastal opponents only. Also, there should be no rivalry crossover games. Rotate through all Atlantic opponents, or figure out a way to eliminate the need for crossover rivalries. Move Duke to the Atlantic and FSU to Coastal for a start.
