End of the year Martinez was another level. That 60 yard run he had in the 3rd quarter of a tied game at Syracuse that got called back for a holding call on a legal pancake block still haunts me

He’s a different back than Martinez, still relatively hard to bring down, but not 230lbs. Ight that being said think this will be Fletcher’s first healthy offseason since coming his freshman year. If he stays healthy I expect him to improve a lot.

I’m all for giving these guys a rest of course but when you’ve got a guy that is so far above and beyond everyone else it’s just horrible coaching decisions

Just to provide a different viewpoint:


When Chris Johnson portaled, his thread is filled with "we should've gave him more carries".

When Ajay Allan portaled, same exact comments.

It's a part of the game now with he transfer portal. You have to give carries to others to keep them on the team. There is a balance.

Also not to mention, Damien joined the team with the understanding he would split carries with Fletcher. As a rb, most of these guys don't want to be ran down to the ground before reaching the NFL.

Splitting carries is one thing

Martinez getting 10 carries in the most crucial game of the season is criminal. And he had 159 carries on the season. That’s barely getting warmed up for a running back
