Golden said "my wife would cry if I told her we were moving out of town."

Golden said Eddie Johnson will be back with the team. Said Johnson is currently concentrating on academics.

On his #Canes re 2011 kids leaving early for draft: "I think they know that some guys left for 20 cents on the dollar.''

Golden: "We're not going anywhere."

Golden said he probably won't watch ACC title game because he will be recruiting trying "to get into that game....again."

Golden on Stephen Morris: "We have the hottest quarterback in America right now over the last four games. He is white hot.

Al Golden just agreed he needs to generate a consistent pass rush. It's a priority.

Golden says 14 kids, he thinks, were ultimately redshirted in 2012.

Al defends young player who gave up 99-yard TD vs. Duke: "He's going to be a champion.''” (Jenkins)

Just shed a tear

How can you be a player and not want to come to the U after seeing Golden show love for Malcolm Lewis while he lay broken on the field. He is the anti-Saban.

Yeah, I watched as Tank C lay on the field in Tallahassee grasping for anyone he could find because he knew he blew out his knee. Jimbo was nowhere to be found.

His wife was at a Madonna concert recently. Cane lock.

LOL that's what I said to a friend. "There aren't any Madonna concerts in Fayetville!"

Really? You and your friends discuss the availability of Madonna tour dates and you then have the indecency to post that on a football message board? Is this for real? Or are you just trying to sound ***?

Seems common sense that a Madonna-type celebrity wouldn't be caught dead in Fayetville.

With 5 mil a year she can see Madonna wherever she wants. I dont think hes leaving but money talks and there's been a lot of bs to walk from.

He knows what can be accomplished in Miami. I can't see him leaving for a while with all the work he's already put in here and being able to land these players with the investigation going on just wait until this is over he'll be hand picking anybody he wants. On the other hand if and when he does succeed the school is going to have to break out the check book..

He's giddy. I think he tries to somewhat contain in it public, but being close with Jimmy, as well as experiencing this for two years, he is starting to understand what is possible here.

Every single year, he is under 30 minutes away from kids that he can win national championships with. It's almost sinful the amount of talent he can get to on a tank of gas. Once this bull**** blows over, he will only be able to be even more lethal on the recruiting trail, and he knows he can win at the University of Miami for a very long time.

Jimbo is an ***-CLOWN!

I look for this team to continue improving to 10 wins next season, and after that we back *******.

Dude is YOUNG. He's going to stay here for the next 7-8 years and win TWO MNC. Then he'll pick up the pieces that are no longer ***** at PSU.

Miami has always broken out the checkbook. I seem to recall Coker was the highest paid HC on CFB when he prematurely signed the contract that gave us Randy Shannon. The myth that Miami doesn't pay their coaches is just that, myth...

What people forget to realize is the wife and the kids call the shots. I'm sure his kids are attending Ransom Everglades or another high end private school and I'm sure his wife is shopping at Merrick Park weekly.

The man knows he WILL win here. He'll resurrect this program, I have ZERO doubt. That will set him up for a HUGE pay day somewhere, maybe here, maybe PSU, maybe the NFL. He knows what this opportunity means in creating a legacy. He'll need to make his BFF go away, however, and get a smarter DC.

I can honestly see an interview with Golden years down the road where he says where he's from, where he played ball etc. "But my home is Miami"

Just like JJ.

I agree completely, but I think we too often get a little pollyanna about the "state of miami". It WAS the undisputed fertile ground to grow a NC from, but talent has spread and become available everywhere, just about. That said, that "entitlement" culture of the past 30+ years in Miami is also contributing to the headaches a UM coach will have to manage. It's not an automatic like it was for Dennis Erickson. It wasn't even an automatic for him or Coker or Shannon, as we have seen.
