Goldenofrio is the problem. As far as I am concerned, Al and his D coordinator are one entity. Al has made it loud and clear that he will not make changes on D. His loyalty to his best friend is unwavering. An admirable quality but this will be his downfall at the University of Miami. I still love the guy but ****. We are in for another cycle of mediocrity and irrelevance and it sucks to know that. We are the Nebraska of the South.

9-3 or 10-2 with the best players on the field predominately FR, SO, and JRs and a dearth of talent coming in at nearly every position aside from (at the moment) Safety and WR.

Let the rest of the season play out.

Whether we end up winning 8, 9, or 10 games this year....the record isn't a legitimate reflection of the team.

We had a cupcake schedule. We had to come from behind to beat several mediocre (or worse) teams.
I honestly don't think this years team, playing last years opponents, fairs better.

I still got mad love for Golden after sticking with us when he had every excuse needed to walk out the door, but he needs to make a Donald Trump type CEO move and fire his best friend and get us moving in the right direction on defense.

This is overblown. Golden stayed here because he was able to leverage a contract extension and a raise. Let's not pretend like he's been doing charity work. Where the **** else would he have gone? This whole mess has made him look great up until now when he's being exposed.

talent will usually overcome mediocre coaching. better players running that scheme will produce better results. we aren't due for a run of mediocrity. if golden recruits like he's shown he can do, it will be hard to mediocre.

The team is exceeding expectations considering the lack of talent and depth due to 4 years of incompetence and an NCAA investigation thanks to Radio Charmin but we lose and here comes the idiots out in full force.

Most rational people understood Miami was going to lose some games this year. This team is playing with 75 scholarship athletes right now. If you don't understand the rebuild is still taking place then you're a stupid ***.

I think you're a focking idiot. This defense was ranked 116th in the nation last year because the talent and depth are completely lacking. I think the defense has grown up a year mentally and physically and still missing talent and depth on a roster that is still at 75 and should be at 85. I think this program is still feeling the effects of 4 years of Radio Charmin stinking it up. I also think the NCAA investigation that Radio Charmin left the program with has hindered what Golden has been able to accomplish.

So no, I don't think your 33 game evaluation is fair at all. Especially when our offense has been the dead weight and our ADD QB continues to hobble around looking like ****.

I agree it's not fair at all. as mentioned, 75 players is about 5-7 short of where we normally are, and a lot of that is still young.

I still haven't seen a post that said they want golden fired. Someone point me towards one. I've seen many that said they want him to change his scheme or that he needs to get rid of his defensive coordinator but I've yet to see one post that outright said Golden should be fired or let go. If that statement was made there have been caveats but no one wants golden fired. Everyone wants changes on the defensive side of the ball though.
