Might explain his drained, stammering stat rant during his radio chat with Joe Rose this morning, perhaps a guilty conscience driven upchuck?
 
I bet he's named psu coach at the end of the week. I'm thinking they told him they wanted to finish the interviewing process so he had to come out and say he's staying just to calm everything down.

He gone by week's end. Book it. Had to do press today without canceling to keep up appearances.

LULZ at this new faction of golden haters that believe what they want to believe and hear what they want to hear all because they "hate" a football coach so much.
 
His statement yesterday was uncharacteristically devoid of the usual Golden bluster. It struck me as incredible terse and tepid.

if you guys dont' like our admin you would HATE the PSU admin,

those are good ol' boys that are on a very high horse. If Golden pulled out for whatever reason, they will turn their backs on him very quick and actually never offer him again.

These are admins that will walk in to the Onofrios office and tell him to leave and notify the HC via email. Joe Paterno was the only one at PSU athletics that controlled the admin / board.

I think PSU did a total 180 once they analyzed Al's record.

I 100% believe Al actively pursued the PSU job and the initial feedback was that they would send a proposed contract to him this Sunday. The contract never came because they didn't want to hire him.

I opened this thread thinking or should I say praying that he signed a contract
