Golden Is A Real F'in Charmer At High Schools

I was rewatching his initial press conference the other day. Goose bumps.

I especially loved the part where he talked about how involved we would be with the local high schools. That's how you build walls around schools.

His press conference felt nostalgic as it happened. It felt old school. I was in the car listening on the radio so the old school, Knute Rockney-esque tone was strong. Loved that car ride home.

Yeah it was a powerful statement back then. It was cool checking it out now and seeing how his plan has been unfolding.

He is a great guy and I'm glad he's running our program. I had the privilege of meeting him and his wife outside the Arena prior to a Heat playoff game during Lebron's first season. I noticed him walking with his wife and said hey coach. He immediately turned around and shook my hand. He then asked me my name and then promptly introduced me to his wife. We spoke for several minutes and I have to say that he is as genuine in person as he is with the media. I came away from that chance meeting so impressed. IMO, we are lucky to have him running our program and there is no doubt in my mind that he will be successful here. GO CANES...

He runs this place like a business. He's a **** of a promoter of the brand. He knows how to market the program, and most importantly, he has a clear, concise model for how to achieve success. He knows exactly what kind of player he wants at each position, both physically and mentally. I know it's cliche', but he really is injecting the program with his attitude. He wants the program to have a distinct personality. It reminds me of the RaisingCanes from the BC game when in his pregame speech he said "Play as fast as you can. Play with incredible passion, incredible energy - now stand up like a Miami Hurricane, and sound that alarm."

I really believe he is a genuine fan of what Miami football stands for, and he wants to get back to it. In a very short time, when we are blowing some team out in the conference title game or BCS bowl, and someone gets hit for a celebration penalty, Golden will take him aside and have a word with him, but afterwards he'll let out the smirk he was holding in while he looks up at the scoreboard.

I'll say it again, ( to paraphrase Howard Schnellenberger): Al Golden and Miami are on a collision course with greatness, the only variable is NCAA sanctions

This is the first time in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time that UM has a real first-rate CEO leading it's program

We get good again and sanctions in the rear view mirror, his classes will be silly good.

Old Golden slurping thread getting bumped.

It reminds me of the Manny slurping right now.

You remind me of a tired old trick looking for a john to suck off. But it's late in the evening, and your better days are well behind you. Nobody here wants to pay you $20 to have you suck them off. Just go home. Or, for the sake of society, walk out into traffic. Either way, call it a night, *****.

I’ll pay 2, he has a pretty mouth
