.@GoldenAl message to fans: "We're going to continue to work hard. We're resolute in the direction that we're going.''

Al Golden: "Phillip [Dorsett] is going to be ready to go." Stacy Coley good. Artie Burns, Corn Elder day-to-day. Herb Waters wait and see.

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 1m
.@GoldenAl says to fans that Canes have a chance to send out the seniors winners, and they're going to a bowl for first time in a while.

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 48s
.@GoldenAl: "before every accident there's a warning. and you've got to heed these warnings and take care of it."

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 6m
.@GoldenAl on Duke Johnson and Phillip Dorsett's tweet that game was embarrassing: They're "contrite.'' He said they were frustrated.

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 1m
Golden asked straight-up if he's satisfied with the defense. "No. You know I'm not. Nobody is. The players aren't."

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 32s
When do you grow fatigued of "fire D'Onofrio'' talk? "I really don't pay any attention to it. Mark is working his tail off to get it fixed

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 1m
AG on if he's tired of "Fire D'Onofrio" talk: "I really don’t pay any attention to it. I know Mark is working his tail off to get it fixed."

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 5s
.@GoldenAl: "It's about our team and our execution. It's really not about the other teams. We have to take care of it. It starts with me.''

Tim Reynolds ‏@ByTimReynolds 20s
Golden insisting that the problems are on him. He's not throwing anyone under any bus. "I'm not going to sit here and make excuses."

Tim Reynolds ‏@ByTimReynolds 19s
Golden: "Everyone on the defense would say we all can improve. ... We didn't get takeaways the last two games. Everyone is responsible."

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 37s
.@GoldenAl on does defense just lack the talent: "No, I think everyone on defense would say we all can improve.''

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 42s
Al Golden: "Multiple guys missed tackles yesterday. It could have made a big difference."

Susan Miller Degnan ‏@smillerdegnan 11s
.@GoldenAl on Stephen Morris: He "looked like himself. His feet were alive. He was able to move in the pocket. He scrambled...''

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 28s
AG on Morris: "He looked like himself ... feet were live. Felt good in the playaction game ... scrambled ... decision-making was excellent."

Tim Reynolds ‏@ByTimReynolds 1m
Golden: "I want them to understand that there's only 13 or 14 games a year and they're precious. We can't live in the past."

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 1m
Golden repeats the "seniors have never been 7-2" line. With all respect to Al, that's not really accurate.

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 42s
Al Golden said Brandon Linder played the best game of his career.

Brandon Odoi ‏@Brandon_Odoi 1m
Coach Golden has mentioned "this time last year we were 5-5" at least twice on this call. I think he's trying to send a message. #Canes

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 37s
Al Golden: "Sure, there's frustration. I would be nervous if there wasn't."

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 2m
Concerned about team folding now with nothing to play for? AG: Three games left, and "I know they're excited about going to a bowl game."

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 39s
FYI: no #Canes players or coaches will be available tomorrow.

By 'we' does he mean he and dorito? And by 'direction' does he mean the earth's core?

.@GoldenAl: "before every accident there's a warning. and you've got to heed these warnings and take care of it."

Anyone want to put this in context? Have to do with punishing a player, or that our defense has been a car wreck?

Al Golden: "Phillip [Dorsett] is going to be ready to go." Stacy Coley good. Artie Burns, Corn Elder day-to-day. Herb Waters wait and see. Blah blah blah. Lewis is ready to go. Then Scott is ready to go. Now Dorsett? yeah yeah yeah

Our five wins last year were equally as good as our 7 this year. In fact, we are lucky that we are at seven and not five now considering the Wake and UNC games.

To keep it all in perspective, he really isn't going to say "dorito is gone at the end of the season". I am hoping this is the dreaded "vote of confidence".

Al's body language is that of he knows Dorito is dead man walking, just going through the motions to help his friend. I don't see Dorito surviving this. Very little chance at all.

Does Al ever ask himself why tackles being missed still exist?

Maybe because your players are on their heels all game.

Unfortunately this defense is all they know.

I want a real reporter to ask this guy the tough questions and then follow them up like a reporter should

Al is this job too big for you and your staff

Why can't you find any continuity on the lines you seem to keep rotating players in and out

Why haven't you been able to beat teams that are plue .500 on your schedule

Why is your offense and defenses so conservative

Myself and the fans say your defense and offense is predictable how do you answer that

Can you handle the pressure of the rich history that is Miami and that the fans haven't seen dominance in 10 years
they are growing restless...

follow up with strong questions to make him be honest he is becoming a media takeout person that knows how to say the
right things

THIS.

People just being ridiculous about this B.S. Its all coach speak. Dont know what else people expect him to day. No matter what he says, people will b*tch about it. He didnt even give Donofrio a "vote of confidence", he just said, Im not listening to all that stuff, Mark is working his tail off. That can just as easily be looked at as a "no answer". Even if Donofrio is toast, he's not going to say it with games left to play. Personally I barely read or listen to anything he says in this press conferences. I try to see if there is anything "between the lines", or anything really different, but most of it is the same sh*t any coach says.

Look, Im as ****ed as anyone, but we arent doing a lick of good as fans here. Fire Donofrio? Yes. That much is clear as a bell as an absolute MUST. But trashing Golden, the program, the school, encouraging recruits not to come here, that's bullsh*t. I said it last week and Im going to say it this week. Im sure some d*ck wad will say Im an apologist or defending Dorito now, but the reality is, as fans, we should want this program to get BETTER. The reality is Golden is here at LEAST for all of next year MINIMUM. Barring a TOTAL collapse, he will likely be here the next year too. We need to hope he can bring in some major talent, gets better as a coach, and can unload his buddy ASAP. As fans, we should be doing what we can to make this program better. And yes, demanding Donofrio's head is appropriate considering what we have seen of this defense the last two seasons, but trashing AG, when he's NOT going anywhere for at least another year or two, and saying sh*t like recruits shouldnt come here is F*CKING ASININE. What kind of fans want us to NOT get better? Even if Golden chokes the big one, and ends up fired, we should hope that he leaves a massive stable of talent for whoever ends up taking over. But I seriously dont get some cats on here.

I still have a little faith left in Al but **** he has to see that this defense needs a major overhaul.
