I've heard this line "Miami is definitely recruiting me the hardest" at least 15 times over the past month or so. Talk about the absolute opposite compared to the previous staff, where the #1 line out of of kid's mouths was "I like Miami, but I haven't heard from them in a while." You can assemble some dangerous talent at Miami when the guy running the show knows what he's doing. Golden isn't sitting around and waiting for a kid to decide. He's trying to make the decision for them.

One month to go and Al and the gang are sprinting through the forest covered in blood, huffing and puffing, grunting and salivating. They're under the full moon smashing through branches and trees while Alex Collins and the others futility attempt to get to a clearing and scream for help - but it's too late. They got their scent. It's gonna be hard for any program to rip away these guys from Golden now that he's closing in on them. We are about to close strong....

i completely disagree with this relentless approach to recruiting. Like many have said on here (after we lose a recruit), I prefer taking only the guys who are true canes to the core and don't need convincing.

If that was the case our class would of been filled months ago with commits. This isn't Ohio State or LSU where they are the only school in state and kids grow up dreaming of playing for their entire life.

I really REALLY hope this is sarcasm....if not, you may want to get familiar with BOLIVIA.

Love the way we are recruiting and can't wait to see what it looks like when the NCAA mess is fully in the rear view mirror.

Wanting to be here does not translate always to performance on the field. You find the kids you want because they can play and you sell them on wanting to be here. Al and staff understand that.

Ed Reed can take the same flight down as Ray. I mean if Ray's free then Ed won't be doing anything.

I just find it refreshing that a few years ago we would all speculate on why a kid wasn't hearing from us. It seemed to be the main line you'd hear from a recruit when asked what's up with Miami.

Now almost every kid instantly says "Miami is coming after me the hardest" or "Miami is showing me the most love." It's just nice to know Golden and the staff are doing their ******* jobs.

great observation.

IMO it ties into some of the things we've seen from coach Golden and his staff. Things like their ability to do their own homework on kids. As coach Golden once said, "Im not a catalog shopper." This is why the Golden summer camps have netted some commitments.

I also like coach Golden's comment regarding "commits" who take other visits: "If you're still looking, we're still looking."

Time will tell if this staff can actually get things done, but from the outside looking in, coach Golden and his staff seem to have an energetic, well organized recruiting operation going on. And as WTH noted, it sure is different from the previous two regimes...and nice to see.

Yes. If we lose a recruit it will not be because we got out worked. I think golden is a practice what you preach guy.
