Just seen the depth chart and it has porter as a starter at DT with renfrow listed on top at the other one. But there is a or between renfrow, pierre, robinson.

Porter and renfrow have been sharing time at nose but it looks like they could both be starting vs uva.

They always listed the depth chart in 4-3.

I know that they always list it as a 4-3, i'm talking about they have porter and renfrow as starters.

The whole year porter and renfrow have been at the same spot but now the are starting together.

If you are running a 3-4 why would you have your only 2 nose tackles starting ? Pierre and robinson are not nose tackles.

You know what is sad? At the end of the season, we are still scrambling for our starters at DL- lol. ... Oh myyyy.... Yet, Shayon Green is starting for the 23rd straight games and apparently has his starting role on lock down baby....!!this is comical. Blow up this ******* D dam it... PLP!!

It will not happen as long as Al Golden is our head coach.

All our national championship teams used 4-3 defense IIRC.

4-3, 3-4 doesn't matter.

This version of whatever defense they're running sucks donkey ****.

I watch Miami's games and thats about it, and never played football myself, so i dont know, but is it possible to play a 5-2 defense, to maybe slow down the rushing against us? Would this not help, or would it make another area weaker than it already is?

You can't run a 5-2 nowadays, given that majority of offenses run the spread and rely heavily on the pass.

Renfrow looked good Saturday getting blocked into the core of the Earth.

Did u see how we lined up against Dukes trips formations?

Howard, Perryman and Cornelious lined up on the receivers with Gunter on the otherside over their Tight End

Look at the thread tacked to the top of the page re: defense. Somewhere in there I mention how I'd play against our current defense. That was before the season. I'm a loser on a message board. That's the type of **** that is just bothersome.

One of my favorite gems from the Duke game was when we had Chickillo in a 5-technique with an H-Back/TE lined up outside of him. (Picturing this? Follow me.) The Outside Linebacker was lined up over the slot WR (instead of outside the H-Back/TE) thus we had no edge player. The H-Back/TE sealed Chickillo inside and the QB pulled it and walked into the endzone.

That's talent though.

I wish hadn't deleted the screeshots from the thread I made this summer from the KSU game on our pre-snap defensive alignment.

Constantly out-numbered and out-leveraged in the box.

Our defense against spread teams is so easy to manipulate.
