Was way more than just 1. The O line will be & always has been the foundational piece. We definitely need a QB…I hope canes fans who just few days ago swore by Emory see we need to get Ewers

The whole defense needs a big overhaul. The DL failed to get consistent pressure, we haven't had a run-stopper at DT in what seems like forever, the LBers are slow and can't tackle, and the secondary, well there isn't enough time to address that group (other than OJ)

Lost the Heisman, should have won 12 games but failed, couldn’t take his team to the ACC final or playoffs, only played 1/2 a bowl game for his personal record and could care less if the team won.

We loved Guidry when the O was turning the ball over & the D kept us in some ball games just a year ago..I think folks owe James Williams, Kam, Davis, couch some apologies. They weren’t even close to being replaced in play.

Regardless of who to blame, can’t go into next szn with this hanging over.

well looking at kam in NFL, maybe guidry was the problem with him.

Btw, Jaden Harris I dont get. he didnt look bad last year, now its like he has PTSD.

there are different vantage points ... what i will say is on his side of the ball he led the best unit in the COUNTRY ... any decent recruiter knows how to marry individual goals with team goals ... we fell short but we hit milestones that we hadn't done in almost a decade ... cam ward was a success here

I didn't say Cam wasn't a difference maker, just that Mario deserves credit for acquiring him. How can you disagree with that?

another problem with guidry is the atmosphere is too toxic.

Mario does deserve credit for being relentless and getting Cam to come here. No question. By all accounts, he seems to do a really good job showing a transfer how they will be used and selling them on opportunity and usage.

But....

Cam was a Day 2-3 pick. He came because he could make life changing money in a very short time and hedge in case he didn't make it in the league. Both were equally as critical in landing Cam.

I truly expected Cam to go pro. His words and actions leading up came across as though he was set on the draft. Had he done so.....well ****, just imagine how this season would have gone. Mario gets credit but his stubbornness, which we've seen in his hiring and in other aspects of coaching, in being Cam or bust could have easily resulted in a 4-5 win season. We're in that spot again this offseason. Let's hope Mario's stubbornness/relentlessness can win out again.
