Gionni Paul named ACC LBer of the week

I know Arizona State was very upset when he switched to UM, they had him as the next Burfict type linebacker in their system

Anyone who thinks Paul had a good game should check the rushing stats of NC State's backs and see him in coverage. It all speaks for itself.

Congrats to him on the accolade though. It's nice to see us get gifted awards instead of the reverse happening where we get ignored.

It was Paul's first start ever.........................EVER

sheesh. Redshirt Freshman in their first ever start can't catch a break on these boards.

The young man had 11 tackles, 2 for loss, and forced a fumble his first time out.

The only play I remember from him is when he tried to block a NCState RB down instead of tackling him

I liked Paul coming out of HS and I was only talking about the game, not the player as a whole.

He's a Soph btw.

If the coaches trusted him enough to have him start and play most of the NCST game at the mike then I think we can safely assume he'll be the starter at the willy on Saturday.
