Hopefully he wins the OLB job this week, he's a bigger/physical guy that could do well vs ND

Shows how out of touch ESPN is. They look at stat lines and nothing more. As mentioned in another post, Paul was consistently out of position and bit on every play action fake. Easy to make more tackles when you constantly cheat towards the LOS.

That being said, I am not one of those people who thinks he is terrible. Give him a little experience and he will develop into a nice player in a linebacking corp that will be insanely good in two years if not next year. Just imagine all of these young guys with 3 years of experience backed up by guys who are even more talented than they are. Starts to sound like the good old reloading years.

He looked OK considering how little experience he has and how it was his first set of heavy minutes since the knee injury. Its entirely possible that we see significant improvement from his play as the season goes along.

Paul is really our MLB. I assume that our LB rotatio by the end of the year will be.

weakside Perryman
Middle Paul
Strong Johnson

I haven't broken down game film or anything, but on first viewing I thought he was actually pretty terrible.
