Gio's my kind of RB, and I think it's a decent decision to go pro. Shelf life is limited and he'd be used up at UNC. Take your second round (ish) money and work toward a second contract. He's not the type of guy with the combine attributes that would catapult him to a top 20 pick. Although Doug Martin's success will help him a bit, it's a fairly sound financial decision.

The weak RB class also emphasizes what an idiot Lamar Miller was. I think he would have had an incredible year this year and might have been the best back on the board.

LoL, he and James white played for St. Thomas. My brother was telling me the other day that he hit a bomb to right center and Gio tracked it down and made an amazing catch.

Lattimore is good but he's no McGahee.

I don't know how the contracts work in the NFL etc. but what round could Lattimore go in?

Not just being selfish but kid needs to go pro. At his position, it's the right move.


If he goes to the right team he could be an instant impact.

Similar situation happened with his brother Yvenson who played at Oregon State from 2003-2007. He had multiple knee surgeries in the past and I don't think he passed a single physical going into the draft.

His injury history means all the more reason to go pro now. RBs don't have long. I would rather get hurt in the pros with money coming in than getting hurt in college.
