TrumpyCane wants to know if Mario can take WR recruiting personally next year

Our WR recruiting has been excellent the last 2 years. Definitely 8-15 range in the country.

Could be better- for sure. But not like DB where it is average to below average

Geo made it clear that Mario is very comfortable trying to flip long shot, high risk 5* recruits. He's not settling for Plan B 3*s.

Me talking now:

Seems like the DT class will either be

Marshall, Griffin, Autry and/or Carter

or

none of the above.

Not only has Mario and Staff shown they're fully capable to pull off these flips, there's also a lot less risk in doing this with how the portal is right now.

Im glad he’s going hard after the top guys on the board but with our roster situation we should definitely expand the board at DT

One of those situations with as many elite guys as we are in it for, you just take them all and worry about numbers later. Who knows when we will see an opportunity like this again

Numbers were very difficult to analyze in the past but now with the portal it’s just a lost cause

I’m sure we are thinking a best case scenario as a staff with DJ, Hanks, Slime, Ewald etc

But also one big change with this staff is there seems to always be a backup plan with kids we actually want. Staffs in the past would whiff on big targets and then it was scrambling to find someone

I’ve noticed how many kids have mentioned Mario’s honesty with them like hey…we have other people higher on the board and if they want in, you’re SOL
