Geo's Recruiting Buzz and Team Stats September 24, 2024

Going to be a struggle to find a 1 in the portal a solid number 2 or 3 with years of experience is very possible tho
Some Random Potential Portal WRs:

Kevin Concepcion - True Soph, NCSt, 17 games, 98 Catches, 1,078 Yds, 13 TDs
Elic Ayomanor - RS Soph, 15 Games, 79 Catches, 1,247 Yds, 7 TDs
Pofele Ashlock - True Soph, Hawaii. 17 games, 115 catches, 1,183 Yards, 12 TDs
Nic Anderson - RS Soph, Oklahoma, Last yr 13 games, 38 Catches, 798 Yds, 10 TDs. So far has been injured this season.
Chris Lewis - RS Jr, Troy, Last yr 14 games, 32 Catches, 735 Yds, 10 TDs. Missing this season due to cancer, that he has now recovered from.
Denzel Boston - RS Soph, Washington, This season 4 games, 24 Catches, 287 Yds, 5 TDs. Obviously last yr was a RS Fr but UW was loaded at WR

Ayomanor & concepcion would be kinda crazy..... assuming JG, SB, & X are gone... horton, jojo, & 1 portal + carr are main 4?

If Ayomanor leaves it’s to the league he’s not hitting the portal . concepcion would be a good one the rest are jags

Stanford kid is probably league bound. I can’t see Concepcion leaving, especially with his brother getting there in Spring.

last year was one of the craziest years of WR talent ever! Smith, Wingo and Ryan Williams are monsters. Wouldn't hate us putting our feelers for Cam Coleman, he's as talented as the rest and must be frustrated in that Auburn offense...

Im of the suspicion Upshaw is going to Auburn to tell him to transfer because of Nickel & Coleman. They were teammates last year.

If the bag is big enough with a chance to start here after what looks to be a great year too I imagine that might outweigh playing with your Lil bro but we'll see

The bolded is who i would definitely push for.

Concepcion would be a hard pull because nc state also landed his brother in this class.

Ayomanor is a beast every time i seen him but dude is likely NFL BOUND.

I would be back channelling Eugene Wilson as a potential slot/ x replacement..not sure he would move off da gatah but there stuff might bottom out this szn.

Better start developing the highly touted kids we've brought in. I bet Jojo continues to get more snaps as the season goes.

Not a fan of Moore or Williams III tbh. If you're going after big receivers at least target some twitchier guys.

1. Dallas Wilson
2. CJ Wiley
3. Daylyn Upshaw
4. Malachi Toney
With rosters expanding and the way recruiting goes with hits and misses I would be extremely disappointed if we didn’t take both Upshaw and Toney. The one or the other thing makes no sense even if people feel they are similar players

Like who cares? Stack talent and figure it out

Im surprised he doesn’t get more snaps outside of garbage time, maybe that changes

He also needs to improve as a returner imo
You can tell he’s just pressing too much to make a play. Once he relaxes and lets the game come to him the results will be different.

WR Board

  • Hard to sign 4 blue chip WRs in one class, 3 is the typical number
  • Geo believes only one of Toney and Upshaw ultimately sign with Miami. Miami wants to upgrade size in WR room and signing more than one slot WR won't help them do that
  • Thinks its most likely that Toney ends up a Cane and Upshaw at Auburn

Bump
