Georgia Tech Game

Dolphins play the next day at 1PM. I doubt we get a night game because of that alone. At best we'll be at 3:30PM.

the savannah st game was at night and the dolphins played the falcons the next day, so i think that wont be a reason

Dolphins game was at 4, not 1

that is true, are the dolphins playing a home game that week?

Yes, home against Baltimore at 1

I don't think the Dolphins kickoff time factors into when our game is played. Its ESPN's call.

We haven't played many night games since moving to Sun Life mainly because we've sucked, but the 2010 UNC was a night game and the Dolphins played the Steelers the next day at 1pm.

I didn't say it was a factor, just saying that the Dolphins do have a 1 game that weekend, whereas they didn't last weekend when we had a night game. I know Tulane and the Saints try to avoid situations in the Superdome where Tulane plays at night and the Saints have a noon kickoff on Sunday.

Understood and makes sense, but how many of Tulane's games are receiving prime-time TV billing? Basically none.

I would be happy to mow the grass and fix the divots if we can get the night game

Understand, but they have to change the paint at midfield, the endzones, the banners in rafters, etc.

I would love to have that 8pm slot because that would pretty much guarantee at least 60-65k show up at Sun Life for that game. (You know how our fans are.) But history shows that will be a 3:30pm kickoff if both teams are undefeated or even if Gtech loses.

I expect the crowd to be about 55-60k.

I really hope so. Love to play them dudes on a saturday night. Last time we played them on a Saturday night was the beginning of our downward spiral. That stupid *** pass that wright tried to throw to olson and first down. That game still ****es me off to this day. I dont hate GT, but i really would like to scrape them 5 straight after they pushed our ish in for 4 str8

IMO I can't see 60-65K even if it was at night. Just too many things going on at night in SoFla.

It'll probably be a noon game. They claim they made the U*** game a nooner because that way it's guaranteed to get the spotlight as the only ESPN/ABC game on at that time.

I can easily see 60-65,000 for a night game if we were ranked #10 and they were around #20-22. This reasoning makes no sense. There are 5,000,000 people in Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties. No, they're not all Miami fans, but they're also not all doing the "other" things in South Florida on a Saturday night. If Miami football is back as a top 10 team, going to a Miami game, especially a "big time" game, will be a "thing" to do.

I've never got the "There so much to do in Miami" excuse as to why nobody goes to games. What is there to do in Miami that would interfere with football? Theres bars and clubs, same as any other city in the country. Miami draws poorly in all of its sports when the team isn't elite. Most bands don't even go to Miami on tour anymore because people don't come. Its a cultural thing. The majority of the population is new and either 1st or second generation, so that community and culture of supporting local sports and art isn't developed. Thats why I bailed....

The locals just don't know any better for the most part and the students aren't enough to fill up Sun Life by themselves.
